I noticed that in the spectrum this weird sound has a really sharp cutoff around 4khz, and thought, hey, this looks like a sample that's been slowed quite a bit. If you speed this up around 16st and reverse it, you get this:phpBB [media]
I recognized it immediately, it's sampled from the famous choral piece Miserere, mei deusphpBB [media]
The above vid isn't the exact version they sampled, and since there are so many versions of this piece which all sound similar then it might be impossible to know for certain which one they used. Still really cool to see this song referenced/used by the band, seems on brand for them in a way
