I'm also a less-frequent poster than I used to be, partly down to life getting in the way and partly because I want to spend less time online. The latter is admittedly quite hard nowadays.
I would say it's changed a bit in recent years, a few trolls and the like. But it's also got something other places on the net are missing. It's slower, people are on the whole more considerate and respectful, and it's brimming with talent. Because of that it does still seem to attract the best of those in BoC's orbit and beyond.
The in-person meets were incredible and maybe someone will carry that torch forward. Maybe we'll even do another one? I'd love that and would definitely carve out some time for it, but I appreciate they take a lot of work and dedication.
With all that being said, I still visit Twoism a few times a week to have a browse and ultimately I'm grateful it exists. Music forums were a big part of my life over the past 20 years (wow, has it really been that long?), but now many of them have disappeared for more centralised forms of interacting online.
The timing of this thread is quite interesting for me, as I recently went back and had a look through my earliest posts. Most of them were pretty embarrassing, to be honest, but some also made me smile. I probably spent 20 minutes or so reading through them and thinking about where I was, who I was living with and what I was doing around that time. I also found a few posts where I'd shared something creative - a photo or some music - and it made me realise I need to do more of that. Being busy, tired and sometimes stressed is no excuse.
Those memory holes cannot be found in many places online these days, because the internet is A LOT less diverse than it used to be. At least, that's my perspective right now. Maybe there's more and I'm missing it.
Anyway, this has gone on longer than I intended, but this has definitely struck a chord with me:

I'm almost certainly guilty of this more than I'd like to admit. There's a lot that upsets me about the world we live in, but then places like Twoism also make it great.
To the best forum out there. Always was and always will be.
