I'm lost, why are you counting 1998 days after the Sisters remix? their latest remix was in 2017, if they were trying to do something with numbers I'd expect the previous release to be the one relevant (like when people were trying to count how many days passed since TH) but still I don't think they would ever do something like this with remixes of all things since, as it was mentioned before they did this remix years ago and the ones that had it in its possesion decided to release it now, I really doubt the brothers get to choose the exact release date and much less I don't think they would come up with a plan like "ok we are giving you this remix now (circa 2018) but don't release it until 2021, it has a sample from 1998 so people will have to count 1998 days before 2021 so it'll align with a previous remix of ours for another artist"
With all respect it sounds like half life 3 confirmed jokes.
It’s simple. I’m speculating, and that’s the purpose of this specific thread. There will always be a way to doubt and say “hm I’m 100% the next release will not use numerology.” But instead of offering doubt, I’m offering ideas and plausible connections. There were 1998 days between the two Nevermen remixes; I wonder if something awaits 1998 days after their second 2016 remix? It’s one-step-removed logic worth mentioning. Instead of discussing the song in this thread, I am speculating about it’s role in the latest era of BOC. You have a point that the sisters remix wouldn’t be significant unless they were to say release a second “sister” Odd Nosdam remix on August 12, and it does look like there were special circumstances surrounding this follow up remix, but they held on to this surprise for quite a while, so who knows what they have in store for us. And who knows the inner workings of their release schedule? That’s getting so in the weeds when this is just about exploring possibilities.
