That award music is the only new non-remix piece of BOC music post Tomorrow's Harvest. Technically it's the only teaser we have! Perhaps it will feature on the next album somehow.

That said, Babylulu, you have had the honor of giving us the first confirmation of the album courtesy of MDG so let's see where we are one year after that confirmation!

Unless those two adult swim posts end up being actually BoC, as well...

That SAY award piece was perfect for TH ep. Which never came. I personally really like that sound and the mood, not sure about others, some people here rank TH at the ultimate end.

I could imagine it as an opening vignette for a TH EP honestly. Harvest Ritual would have been such a great EP.

I cannot wait til Tomorrow's Harvest isn't the final end as good as it is at closing things out! It's a very convincing ending but I still feel there are things going on after the movie fades to black.

With the mushroom cloud picture and New Clear Dawn predicting the theme and feel of Tomorrow's Harvest, I have to wonder if the minimal communication from the band is also a hint. That, tied with the Pioneer banner lines up. (If you didn't know, outer space is considerably empty)

Maybe LP5 will be a more subdued release. Announcement barebones, imagery minimal, music spaced out and light.

I've been thinking about how we are all anticipating a space theme, but what if they end up pivoting more towards Treat Em Right and it's more rap/trip hop?

My nightmare scenario :barf:

I could stomach it if there were no lyrics, I suppose.

Agreed, no lyrics. Anything close to Happy Cycling would be great.

If I'm greedy, I want 3 new albums: hip-hop instrumental, space, and then a return to MHTRTC meets TCH.

I am glad someone else feels this way. They've been purposefully ignoring us for a reason, yet still keeping a watchful eye (wherever it is... ). Humans weren't meant to be constantly observed, yadda-yadda, but when we know we are, and we don't know where 'it' is, everything turns into a zoo, real quick. I'd be lying if I didn't say it hasn't felt like we've been animals in a cage lately.

Ever since I got into the Gorillaz (plus I always really enjoyed tracks like Treat Em Right and Good Friday) I actually would not mind a rap/trip hop album done right. I was pretty anti rap a few years ago, but I absolutely love it on albums like Demon Days and Plastic Beach. Adds to the overall coolness of the music. I'm sure if BOC did it, they'd pick interesting and artistic rappers or probably just people from Anticon. Lately, all their remixes have been favors for friends in Anticon (Plus Sex Objects)

That said, space would be a fitting final frontier for BOC (they've already covered everything going down on earth) and I'd love a simplified art cover to reflect that.

Next Warp announcement will most likely be in the second half of May, for something releasing late June/early July, I reckon.

Who's brave enough to bet it's our boys?

I volunteer. Maybe that's just what we need, me betting the opposite of what I usually do. It's definitely their next announcement.
