Sort of agree, but I’d go further and say the social media crap is proof nothing is imminent. This is the same kind of placeholder post they’ve been doing for years. When the album campaign starts the social media posts are going to be looking forwards, not backwards

Knowing how intentional and precise they are it makes sense to get excited about the Twitter change and how it pointed back to their Insta post song TDIITD. I mean, it makes too much sense that they used Twitter to point us to that song, only for us to notice that boctransmissions is no more.

It has to be about an announcement, right? It can't be just a cute way of finally moving on from a moniker that rep's the last album, right?

Except for MDG's message. And we have no reason to believe he was speaking flippantly. He knows how seriously we would have taken his words. I just have a hard time believing that all of their "likes" and activity is nothing more than part of the social media static. It's a very specific move to take down the Twitter moniker and make a slight gesture about it on another platform.

It has to be building towards something.

At the very end of the video there is a vertical eye with 2024 below

I don't think there is much to pull from this, I did notice that Warp are reusing their old 1997 logo, but that could just be for the video. It also reminds me of the Warp music video DVD collection they released 20 years ago in 2004. Except the 2024 eye is orange

In any case, it's good to see Warp have plans for this year, even if all we have to indicate that is a vertical orange eye. Let the boctimism return,

Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism mate. We all just want our favorite band to come back. And I think this will be our year.

If I can be brutally honest, as much as I like optimism and true there is nothing wrong with it, what I see is a small amount of reliance on a colour which I hope will not be taken too seriously by you folks! If it's a light theory to pass the time, I joke in earnest with honestly and full hearted sincerity, joining in. However I can bet my cotton socks that the image at the end of the Warp retrospective isn't a sign. (Until they do release this year of course, but take it as my gut feeling.)
All I can say to explain away my negativity in that last post and this one is "every year is our year".

BoC aren't my favourites at the minute, they're always being thrown around my top 5 though. I've been listening to a lot of The Stranglers this past month and the second Smile album so I guess I have a spur of post-punk angst to outlet.

Yeah when I say "this year is our year" it's more just optimism and posting something nice on the forum. I'm not wagering my house or anything on it. I'd just rather say "it's coming" than "it's not" haha I am trying to put two and two together with the orange eye from the Warp video DVD and I'm hoping it's a full length BOC film, but it's probably not and oh well. Just some wishful thinking

I was going to say the same thing… not orange. Looking for something when it’s not there unfortunately. However, I respect putting that energy out there. Hopefully it returns shortly.

it probably is totally meaningless, but that would be a pretty cool little hint.

i'm fairly hopeful it will come soon. soon as in this year or next.

if not, all that confusing activity with Pioneer 11 and Whitney Houston will just get weirder.

I swear theres a song that samples... armageddon? Where I believe they say "its presidents day, actually" but i cant find anything from my searches for whatever reason. Does boc use this sample in a song or am I losing my mind
