From the BOC FB group:
I wasn't able to attend but Peter Iain Campbell (photographer and Hexagon Sun member) today gave a talk at Edinburgh Napier University about his work. I asked a good friend to go and ask about his involvement in the HS collective. He reportedly laughed, said he's still in contact with them and "yes, there's stuff to look forward to". I am happy.

I realize it’s nothing new, other than a more recent confirmation, but I’ll take it.

Unless it's a fabricated quote. So far I've more faith in MDG's quote because it's a direct message.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but I noticed that the BoC Twitter handle (or 'X' for the neckbeards) has changed from @boctransmission to @boardsofcanada

I would ask, what's so funny about?

Cause he probably gets asked more about BoC than his own work. He must be sick. of it

in fact, i would say that there is no point in asking PIC about Hexagon Sun. we all can infer that PIC is still involved with HS. he’s been involved with them for 30 years, consistently posts photos of them, follows them etc. but even then, we’ve got confirmation from MDG about a new release. we don’t need a statement from PIC, it just seems like unnecessarily bothering him about something he probably gets pestered about 24/7

but i’m sure if someone disagrees with me on this they will let me know lol

Nah, I agree with you. It's mostly because some of the people in this community feel cheated or abandoned to some extent since BoC hasn't released anything yet.

Yeah sometimes I feel cheated, let down sometimes but I always just need to remember all the amazing music they have given us, Their music changed my life for the better and I'm eternally grateful.

If they never release anything again I will be disheartened, But will be forever grateful for what we have.

There is still so much to discover, Every time I listen i hear a new detail.

I repositioned my speakers the other day and for the first time ever I heard those low frequencies at the beginning of 5.9.78! I felt them! Kef Q300 are superb and I've found my perfect listening position I think!

Re on that - every time I give one of their records a listen with my studio headphones, I'm always surprised by what jumps out that I had never heard before. That's why I think they're so genius, there's so much attention to detail put into their stuff. The other day I swear I heard some ethereal vocals underneath the main melody in turqouise hexagon sun at one point...

Anybody else notice that Teleharmonic by The Smile sounds suspiciously like Amo Bishop Roden?

Yes mate the detail and hidden sounds are so tremendously abundant. You probably did hear vocals in THS, I swear there are vocals deep within the main synth line of Redpoint, It's so absolutely well blended in that it's actually impossible to tell if it's actually there or not.

Perhaps we've just been programmed to hear things which aren't really there but I don't believe so, I think these things really are there

Definitely lending a chord progression and a vibe, Thom York loves BOC though from what I understand

In here is a tragedy, art thou player or audience?
Be as it may, the end doth remain:
all go on only toward death.
...
There is nothing which cannot become a puppet of fate
or an onlooker, peering into the cage.
