Hello everyone! I'm The-Artist-64, and I've been listening to BoC for about a year or two now. I come from 'Murica and I'm nostalgic for older times.

I discovered Boards of Canada firstly from David Firth's 'Salad Fingers' (I love that series) and secondly through a youtube poop (mentioned by a user above) scene by AwfulFawfultheFalafe. It was only in the latter that I became a fan of Boards of Canada.

My favorite BoC album (it's hard to pick) has to be Music has the Right to Children.

I'm trying to unlock the mystery behind this wonderful band.

Good'ay ladies and germs, I'll see you 'round the forum!
The-Artist-64 of deviantART, tumblr and elsewhere. Just a Boards of Canada fan trying to unlock the secrets and origin of the band. A retro person in the modern age.

Hey y'all!

I'm new to this type of music, and I really didn't know there was music with so many branches of depth in the electronic field.
I'm loving it though. Have discovered a lot by just lurking in this forum.

I just realised that I've never introduced myself properly here,
Sorry, I do apologize, maybe thats why some people might have felt offended

let me try to make it up now

My name is Agata and I first heard Boards of Canada played to me by someone about two months ago
I liked it, thought it was proper grim.

Then I happened to have gotten involved by accident in one of the threads here
and then it transformed into a story

which is a very important one and its got numbers in it too and Im sure the BOC music would fit
with it well too, definitely positive

So thank you every body, all the good people who let me post things in my thread

Thank you,
Agata

Well, not sure if a 'fan' is a proper term here :)
I do like the music but I am not a follower of anyones
if that makes sense,

Thank you! The video has quite a concept behind it, if I can say. The music is by Kinesthetiac, who goes by the username Synthestesia around these parts. :)

Heya I'm gabe, 18 and from switzerland. I love movies and music - especially the combination of the two.
going to an art school at the moment. erhh, what else. I love boards of canada's lo-fi old tapes/maxima, it has a kind of unique retro feel to it.
I listen to almost anything, from post-rock to psytrance..
oh and I want to lead my career into the amazon of filmmaking.

Hello everyone,

I've known about this forum for a while, and so thought I'd take the plunge. I'm a male Geordie, 35, currently exiled in the Far East.

I'm happy to say that my Dad introduced me to BoC c. 2001

It was probably around 2005 that I realised they were my most favoritist band of all time.

Hey guys, I'm DWNGRD. I'm 18, a dude, and a college student studying graphic design. I've been reading this forum for maybe 4 years, now. My username is shorthand for The Downgrade Complex, the alias I use to make music under. Still really new. Getting better at it, though.

Hi I'm Gregg, a UK mastering engineer now based in Milan. My good friend, Instruments of Flight told me about this forum yesterday, and said everyone was very nice on here, and that I should check it it out, and so here I am doing so!

Have loved BoC since MHTRTT came out, and bought everything since. Tomorrow's Harvest was one of the best albums of 2013 for me. Other fave music is Coil, Lee Perry, Fovea Hex, Comus, Steve Hillage, Ishq etc etc etc.

Anyway, I love a good chat and talking music and gear etc., so am looking forward to contributing to the discussions!

All the best,

Gregg
