Lurking for a few months, finally decided to join. Hello.

I'm fan of BoC's music and "mythology", so to speak. I have TH and Geogaddi on vinyl, with TH being one of my favorite albums. I enjoy discovering hidden meanings in music, especially those in BoC's music.

I make music too, but I won't spam it here. Might make a thread for it later if that's ok with the mods...

To Jason/Crystalspike (if you come back to read this): Funny, we both live in Oklahoma, both got hooked on Gorillaz before any other band, and we both seem to have radically different tastes than others around us. I agree that Oklahoma is hell for any kind of electronic music. Most people here only care about EDM when it comes to electronic music. Anyone who likes something other than pop/Top 40, EDM, rock, or country is considered an outsider here (no pun intended).

I'm all up for it, but I really suck at making things like that happen. I know AFX.NL would totally be there.

I'll make a topic tomorrow, see if there are people who are actually up for this.

Sidenote, I suck at stuff like this to, but we just need to find a central location with a decent park or something.

Hi everyone, I'm 20 and I'm a BoC fan since 2011, I frequently consult this forum and I finally decided to register myself to give my contribution. I've a lot of interests, I like science, good music, sci-fi films, strange and unusual things...
I like everything related to boc, their sounds , all the details and subliminal messages on their tracks and titles, and I love to discover new things from the interests and knowledge of all the members of twoism.

I'm really glad to be part of this community!

p.s: English is not my first language but I try to do my best, please be understanding with my mistakes ahah :)
It is the Self, the individual Mind, that contains immortality and ultimate truth.
Now I know where the Self is. It's in our own minds. It's a form of human energy. Our atoms are six billion years old. We've got six billion years of memory in our minds.

Welcome! As a Geordie some would say English also isn't my first language. Make yourself at home ;-)

Hello to one and all :)

My nickname is Noisy and have been called this for many years. I'm probably a good deal older than most on here. I bought Music For Children in 1998 when it first came out and have been a huge fan of the guy's ever since.
I have been lurking on here for some time now with my finger hovering over the register button, and finally decided to jump in the pool at the beginning of the year.
I like so many on here am a musician also, and have played in several bands over the years , from a full 10 piece line-up to just a duo. I don't wish to put anything on Twoism for the time being, but who knows ? might do at some point. I have also worked as a full time live monitor sound engineer and have worked with various acts ,some famous, some not so famous. I no longer do this type of work and concentrate on my own music working in our own basement studio, we are basically an electronic band with a love of retro synthesisers particularly analogue. we do also use drums, bass and guitars when required and do augment our live line-up with other musicians if required. But enough waffle about musical projects.
I'm Scottish love football and I am a long time comic book collector and have acquired a vast collection over the years, everything from super-hero,slice of life, adult independent comics and graphic novels.
I've travelled a bit and lived in a few different cities in the uk.
interesting fact. I own a Roland SH101 and myself and my colleague have spent many hours creating sounds with it , and if it isn't BOC's so called secret weapon then who knows what is?
I'm really enjoying being part of this community, already had a few laugh out loud moments. There is a great diversity of characters and opinions on here .Long may it last.
Peace and Unity. Noisy

Hello there,

I'm a 26 year old guy from The Netherlands without any friends that listen to BoC and other amazing IDM bands, which is very frustrating sometimes... I don't feel lonely, just alone (which is a big difference). Music is my life and I'd really want to meet more people that dig this music. BoC grabbed me by the balls at some point in 2010 and never let go. They are my favorite band for sure, but I'm also really into other amazing IDM bands like Autechre(!), Plaid, µ-Ziq, Mouse On Mars, Squarepusher, Chris Clark, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Future Sound of London, Luke Vibert, Ullrich Schnauss and many more. Pink Floyd(!), Stars of the Lid and Brain Eno also to be mentioned because they are all amazing.

I've been lurking this forum for a really long time before registering some time ago. Not much of a poster but that might change in the near future :)

For the rest I'm really into all sorts of drugs, how to obtain them via Darknet Markets, and how the brain chemistry is affected/altered by it (neuroscience?), which I find very fascinating. Particularly psychedelic drugs. I also really like philosophical books and views and reading about eastern spirituality.

This is an awesome forum, keep it up! :)

Hi, I'm Max. I'm a 16 year-old American based in Malaysia, where it's literally only top 40 U.S. and malay-language music non-stop on the radio and among my friends. Fan of BoC since September 2014 (fairly new, I know), but I have thoroughly enjoyed their catalog of music, and noticed the evolution of their sound from the playfulness of pre-twoism to the dark, scary atmosphere of TH. My first song I heard by them was Reach for the Dead, and then I took a look at their previous albums, and the first thing that struck me was the look of Music has the Right's album cover. That striking image convinced me to get the album. Best decision I have ever made. I was hooked.

I love history, particularly medieval European history, and love historical fiction along with it. Sometimes combined with BoC, my reading sessions are magical.

As for other musicians I am in love with Emancipator, Balmorhea, and Bonobo.

Hey another dutchie! We still need a cardboard drummer for the upcoming epic dutch twoism meeting if you're interested: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12529 Maybe we can be your IDM friends!

I'm also very interested by psychedelics and like to grow mushrooms. If you can get your hands on interesting stuff I'd love to know.

Welcome.

And also welcome, max and scottish rainbow vein

I love Bonobo and Emancipator as well. Very cool to see someone mention Balmorhea as well!

Oh no, I bypassed this when I registered last year. Better late than never, so here goes. I'm Shane, the guy usually stirring shit up and being overly dramatic,,,sorry about that,,,I'll do better. Just ask Mexi! I'm just an average dude, nothing special. I am happily married with 2 kids. Live in Texas, love music, love to travel (especially road trips), and I've had BOC in my rotation since 98.

Love MOM (especially the early stuff). They are one of the best bands I've ever seen live. Also, please be safe my friend. If you gotta expiriment, keep it natural if you can. You don't want to end up on suboxone treatment or something to that effect if you don't have to. Sorry, not trying to preach, just be careful dude...

Fear not, there are a few of us older BOC fans on here too and you're very welcome to help even out the numbers against the young turks ;-)

Nice first purchase too by the way. I'm guessing that was a while ago?
