The only sad thing here is you and your pish attempt at patter mate. Have you nothing better to do with your life than bait fans of a band on a message board?
Absolutely tragic.

Except the theme of this album will be unlike any other. So we can’t use number theory (MHRTC), subliminal messaging (Geogaddi), drug trips (TCH) and what we had last with Tomorrow’s Harvest. It’s going to be a novel one, so best to let the chips fall where they may and open our minds to be ready for the reveal. It could be months, years, a decade.
It will be a Space themed album that goes back to basics. And the truth will be right under our nose.

This is hopeful and was needed very much so. Thanks for mentioning all of this. Maybe MHTRTC in the cosmos?
Hell Interface = the blueprint or thematic container for new clues? The theme of the album departing drastically from past records sounds ominous but also like tons of fun to experience. Man, I'm drooling typing all of this out..
If we drop old frameworks (numbers, trips, ARGs, hidden records and hidden codes in radio drops), LP5 clues may not respond to this old logic - they want us to be more open-minded and less dogmatic, or so it seems.
Reading your message helps me start readying myself to not expect a traditional release date/rollout but at the same time, wondering if there is something that has not been discovered yet. How will I know?
"Space theme"? "Back to basics"? It would be nice to hear MHTRTC and early BOC tape aesthetic that is cosmic. (space race-era samples, NASA broadcasts, early sci-fi VHS, etc.)Turbo Moe wrote:And the truth will be right under our nose.
This right here. Could this mean a current track/remix, video, site, or alias is already part of the LP5's rollout?? I know this could be a different framework like I mentioned above, but if LP5 is literally waiting for us to find it, then I can't help but wonder if we have been overlooking or ignoring a key breadcrumb because it seems unimportant or out-of-place.

despite the long wait and rather enigmatic signs of activity surrounding the brothers' social media presence; no matter how and when this will all come out i hope they know i have always been listening.from my perspective of all this, i always thought that the possibility of them coming out with another full length album, just after putting out tomorrow's harvest which was a wee short of a decade in the making as well as planning together a whole marketing campaign that spanned various countries; i almost took much of these theories as a huge farce to say the least. sure there have been remarks and hints about future works on the way, but while time takes a toll on all of us, and the world is always spinning, i wonder how their music will fare well in a time such as this. has the past lurked through the present long enough for people to completely forget about it? or will it continue to creep through the collective conscious as we march onward through our modern lives? i don't know, but it doesn't mean i'm less as excited than i was 12 years ago. just my two cents as a fan of their music for a great portion of my life.

Some additional thoughts.
1) The message was first discovered on 1 May. From 20 May on, the website returns an error 522. You could easily interpret this as meaning 'nothing is happening', but that's fine. This is a site from a bygone era. What does it matter anyway? An old ARG website is not indicative of a future campaign. At least, I hope not. If this message had been featured on boardsofcanada.com, for instance, I think the cards would have been dealt differently. Two weeks later merch drop on an active site and promoted everywhere.
2) It might not matter much to a lot of people, but a fresh merch offer is usually a good sign for a band.
3) The reason MDG is not around here anymore is probably not what most people think.
irv wrote:I just don't see the logic of putting the code on cosecha for no reason. I'd be very surprised if it's just to mess with people, as I can't see the benefit to Warp or BoC.
The site had been dormant for years. If they'd simply switched it off no one would have batted an eye, other than to note its passing.
The fact that someone went to the effort to put up the code, and the random new merch, means I'm confident there's more to come. When? No idea. I guess maybe in around orange days.
