I really don't think the new album will sound like TCH. Or at least not much. They've done that concept now. And if the tracks since are any indicator (Left side dive, 747 etc.).

Perhaps Seven Forty Seven will be included on the new album...

If it will be...

Seven Forty Seven had a kind of aged feel to it. Spacious and dry, but uplifting and full. That could be how the album is.

Music Has The Right To Children had to relate to industry, social advance, and more importantly...childhood.
Geogaddi had to relate to religion and human relation.
The Campfire Headphase had to do with nature and art.

And it seems that their EP's are links between album themes...

More specifically In A Beautiful Place out in The Country (with all of the Branch Davidian mentions, and childrens voices) ...being that it was released in between MHTRTC and Geogaddi, and it had similar themes to them both...

The Trans Canada Highway EP is the seperator between The Campfire Headphase and the new album!

WHAT I THINK IS:

Dayvan Cowboy/Left Side Drive have more relations to The Campfire Headphase
And Heard From Telegraph Lines/Skyliner/Under The Coke Sign all have a similar feel and sound to Seven Forty Seven. This feeling/sound/style/theme, this is what i theorize the album to sound like.

If anyone understands my jumbled text.

I don't know why, but when Trans Canada Highway came out I didn't give it much thought at all. Maybe because it had Dayvan Cowboy on it I assumed it had a more compilation feel, like sortof an afterthought from BoC or Warp. I still have never listened through it.

A Balloon, I like your theory. I wouldn't be surprised if 747 is included in the new album, even if it'd be great if it was a different and even better version. That's one of my favorite BoC tracks, so if the whole new album sounds like this, it'll be awesome. That's really interesting to see how their sound evolves through the albums and the EPs.

Anyway, the wait for the announcement is becoming really, really annoying. I don't think there'll be anything new next week, but maybe the week after. It'll be ten weeks since the black box appeared, ten is a great number to announce something.

Trans Canada Highway is up there with IABPOITC for me. Left Side Drive is 10 out of 10, as is Heard From the Telegraph Lines. I'm a big Odd Nosdam fan too, so his remix was very welcome.

Everything that has turned up since The Campfire Headphase, (which I felt was slightly disappointing after Geogaddi), including Macquarie Ridge, Trans Canada, Why? Remix, and 747 has reinforced my opinion that BoC are Music Royalty.

Oh, I didn't know it took 2 months for the previous albums. The first day of May is next Sunday, do you think the webmaster of their website works on Sundays, or we'll have to wait for Monday? :D

I'll buy a copy then. It's the only warp release I haven't heard. I heard skyliner on youtube and it was heavenly.
