I don't know if this is of any significance, but WARP put up Autechre's material on Bandcamp before either the release of SIGN or PLUS.

I really, really hope this means something, but it could just boil down to things being a bit slow around there as they're going on about some "usual" business. Cautiously optimistic, nonetheless...

i theorized earlier this year that they might have been digitalizing their archive and might upload it onto a site. That would be cool if they did that with bandcamp.

Pure wishful thinking though, but I feel if Hooper Bay or whatever showed up on there, this forum would crash haha

That's honestly the kind of imagery I'd would envision they'd go for if this is truly a space-age album. Fits the whole Tomrrowland vibe, which coincidentally, was the image for Societas.

Looks like their official releases are all up on the Bandcamp page now

Also, have to wonder why they chose certain tracks to be featured. Magic Window is the featured track on Geogaddi and Collapse is the featured track on Tomorrow's Harvest. It's probably arbitrary, but I wonder if it has any significance.

The bandcamp catalog upload just happened in real time - that is some progress right!?

So this bandcamp update means we can confirm that the BOC Instagram is legit—the likes, the clap emojis, the music video posts. That is a hell of a good sign!

The Instagram page has been followed by PIC from Hexagon Sun since the beginning, so I never doubted it was legit - on a related note, anyone remotely into photography as an art form should follow him.

Slightly odd how the release date they gave for Twoism on the bandcamp is the 2002 re-release rather than the original 1996 one, that could mean that they didn't consider the initial cassette launch an actual "release". Could also just be someone wanting to arrange all the releases so they form a pattern of short-long-short-long-etc., the world may never know.

Twoism 96 was not released on Warp, so that would account for them listing the repress date. I also noticed the short/long pattern (EPs on the left, LPs on the right), but that is probably less by design and more just the general pattern BOC have followed over the years.

I've seen a bunch of people comment on other platforms saying something similar, and it feels like you're avoiding the obvious good news. Considering this news confirms the BOC Instagram is real, I don't see how Warp putting their complete digital catalog on bandcamp kills any potential of a new BOC release. Add to that the fact that Autechre's bandcamp was updated before the release of SIGN, and the fact that so many Warp artists have already released something new this year, and I'd say the optimism is warranted.

Let me add that the release window for Warp is currently open. Nothing on the horizon (i.e. the pipeline)...but a new clear dawn maybe?

Anyone else gone down the rathole of palindromic dates in 2021 as potential release dates yet? :D

In 2021 (I think, I'm not a calendaroligist):

20 Jan (US format): 12021 or 1202021 (also the day a certain someone exits a certain building)
1 Feb (UK format): 1221
12 Feb (UK format) and also 2 Dec (US format): 12221 or 1202021 (also for 20 Jan above) or 12022021

I did a sozzy search to see if any of those has significance but all I could find was scientific records of minor astronomical bodies. :D

Yes, I'm aware Warp has been transferring their catalog to Bandcamp for some time. Doesn't change the fact that BoC has been very active online lately and has been strongly hinting on Instagram and Twitter that something is in the works.

FYI The bandcamp page background has gone from white to black. And they have a new banner, the one from their YouTube channel.

Prediction: After December 4th (Aphex Twin reissue in Japan) something is going to be announced, possibly BOC. I'm going to stay optimistic! It's the final month of 2020 after all :D

Damn, you got my hopes up that it was the Pioneer Plaque banner. If it was, that would be a Ron Paul "It's happening" moment if there was one!
