This song and performance is a technical masterpiece.
Why? Because not only is he using the body of the guitar for the percussion, while at the same time taking the tuning and the sounds they make mid-strum to simulate a kind of synthesizer, but this is also perhaps, and debatably, the most sincere sounding solo guitar composition I've ever heard a man sing.
