It started as a simple experiment in using a compressor more as an effect rather than a mastering tool, but it evolved into something I quite like. Not a new technique for sure, but this one uses 4 compressors in a row, which might count for something. :)

Wow.....hypnotic, the bass is perfect man! I'd love to hear this completed!

Awesome song man. I looooove the synth that comes in at 1:17. It's beautiful.

Thanks 747, I'm glad that you liked it.

By the way the numbers of games you played and the trophies you got are quit impressive and varied... From my side I've been stroke by somekind of curse with my video games console, the last 4 years I've lost 1 xbox 360, 2 ps2, 1 ps3, and I'm a carefull guy, I never had a dead console before, in my all video gamer life.

So I start to think that a superior force don't want me to have more trophies than you :)

Nice! Beatifully simple and the sounds work so well together. Bass reminds me a touch of Kid For Today. :)

So there's this: http://soundcloud.com/i-c-o-1/orbit-work-in-progress

I'm not really sure what to do with it from this point, but it needs more...

That's pretty cool. I'd totally listen to this. Where those vocals lifted from?

Thanks Elephant Face and lurkingrecords! Glad you enjoyed this. It's currently kinda shelved, because due to the massive amounts of destructive processing it took it's hard to move forward. But once I get done with the couple of remix jobs I have at the moment I may give it another go.

No idea about the vocals though. I'm downloading tons of random acapellas as I come across them, to have various vocal samples to cut up, and sometimes don't name the files properly. I could try to trace it back.

And Elephant, I actually listened to your tune this morning. A very pleasant way to wake up! :) I've been following you on SoundCloud ever since "Nebulous" which is a brilliant track and my favourite among yours. I actually played it in a DJ set of mine a couple of months ago. Some people went mental (in the best possible way) when it hit the 2:30 mark! ;)

Hey, thanks, I appreciate it! I've got more songs with that girl on the way. I've been busy with school and work lately so I've only been doing little short things. What's your name on Soundcloud?
