It started as a simple experiment in using a compressor more as an effect rather than a mastering tool, but it evolved into something I quite like. Not a new technique for sure, but this one uses 4 compressors in a row, which might count for something.

Awesome song man. I looooove the synth that comes in at 1:17. It's beautiful.

That's pretty cool. I'd totally listen to this. Where those vocals lifted from?

Thanks Elephant Face and lurkingrecords! Glad you enjoyed this. It's currently kinda shelved, because due to the massive amounts of destructive processing it took it's hard to move forward. But once I get done with the couple of remix jobs I have at the moment I may give it another go.
No idea about the vocals though. I'm downloading tons of random acapellas as I come across them, to have various vocal samples to cut up, and sometimes don't name the files properly. I could try to trace it back.
And Elephant, I actually listened to your tune this morning. A very pleasant way to wake up!I've been following you on SoundCloud ever since "Nebulous" which is a brilliant track and my favourite among yours. I actually played it in a DJ set of mine a couple of months ago. Some people went mental (in the best possible way) when it hit the 2:30 mark!
