My Bloody Valentine - M B V

Definitely seems like the sunniest, 'summeriest' of their three 'main' albums.

Isn't Anything - Cold, so very cold..winter album

Loveless - Warmth from the cold...winter/spring album

MBV - Summer sunshine

I really like Isn't Anything on a sort of cold, Autumn day. The sun out, but in that uniquely Autumnal / Wintry sort of way. Loveless, now, strikes me as harder to pin down -- nighttime seems to be a good shout, but it doesn't always engage me so strongly every time I listen to it (but when it does, hoo boy).

Right now, listening to a bunch of stuff. Had a couple of tracks from Kid A, and pursuing that nocturnal thing's led me to Labradford.

At present...

Labradford - G

The more I think about it actually... the more I think Loveless is pretty much all of the seasons, I can picture it at all times of day too. Maybe the first half is day and the second half is better for nights. Bloody life changing album that's for sure.

Yep, and it's really good. He gave it away track by track on his website ages ago.

A rip of the vinyl issue of The Flaming Lips' The Soft Bulletin.

I didn't remember how much I worshiped that album. To me, that version is exactly how the album should be heard, with all the tracks in place and none of those syrupy Mokran mixes.

thing is I say Julianna Barwick here, now.

But in like a month or more someone will make a thread or a post or whatever, people will pick up on it, and it'll be everyone loving it

"Oh x, you brought Julianna here, you wonderful thing!"

I'll be back having a stroke.
