Without You I'm Nothing by Placebo. They never bettered this perfect album.

Remember watching this version of the title track live on the BBC with my first wife and us both just being left mouths wide open afterwards. Bought the album the next day. Still stunning now 15 years later.

Stars of the Lid - really loud, late at night, in the dark, whisky in hand.
Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

Jonny Greenwood -- 'Prospector's Quartet'

Something great from the incredible soundtrack of a film I very much enjoyed when I watched it last night.

Engineers' first album - got to be one of the most unappreciated albums ever, in my opinion. Anyone who likes shoegaze should check it out.

Ulrich Schnauss is now a member of the band.

Not that I don't like her more subdued later stuff and I'm glad she seems happier, but I loved pj harvey when she was kind of scary.

The 90s were a great time to be an angry weird girl
