I think Aerial Boundaries posted this a while back, well it jogged my love for the song again when I was reminded of it.

Big Iron - Marty Robbins

Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

I can't stop myself :D I love that song.

Also, side note: I don't remember if I posted a reply, but I bloody love that song by Mountains. Cheers to whoever posted that as I'd never heard them.

Goes well with a nice bottle of red and a vague feeling of melancholy -

Yeah, Saint Etienne has a great vibe. You know what is kind of strange. They already had this nostalgic sound when they released this but through the years this gets kind of lost because you can't pinpoint the release year and vibe which it had back in the days... Will this also happen to BoC one day?? as if the music sounds it was released years before the original release date? Never thought of it this way but eventually this'll happen. Oooh, the drama.

Interesting idea man, for me, as someone who was barely around when Foxbase Alpha came out, when I listen to it I specifically picture London, specifically the pre gentrified London of old, in the early 90s. All optimistic and forward thinking. Sigh.
