Due to recent discussions I've been remembering some of the great work people on twoism have made, but I know there are a lot more. It would be nice to have a little showcase somewhere on twoism to never forget them!

I cannot recall if Loafeye was officially a member of this forum, but he popped up a lot with that 2005-2007 group of BOC-Wave musicians on last.fm. This album definitely deserves a mention here even if I am slightly bending the rules.

I do this because, much like Hills West, Loafeye fell off the face of the earth and I want to know where they went!

gonna go for a two-fer here, the sound of Trills and Tchrite, by our old friend Johnny.

Image

Trills - Fetal Discoveries

Some extremely grandiose and epic sounding electronic, the string sounds are incredible, the mixing is fantastic, and the songs are really strong.

Image

Tchrite - Inner Sanctum Mysteries

This kind of mixing of tape manipulation, pop song sampling and experimentalism is rather in vogue today, if this was released today it would get a Eureka! tag from TinyMixTapes or something, but in 2008 it was far too ahead of its time.
Sad, really.

Alas those two aren't quite 3 years old yet...
Wanted to include Bright Pylon / Weathermonger as well but didn't find anything on bandcamp, to my amazement... Fantastic stuff too, as I'm sure you all know already!

MEGA +1 to Kinesthetiac's - Fields of Thought

But my all-time fav from this board so far:

Sarin Sunday (Com Truise) - The Lonely Hike
I love playing this on long bike rides
