I know, I know. But, hop to 2:20 in this track and tell me otherwise. Jesus Christ.

I like 8 out of 10 of the records in that Top 10, but it's a very surface level look at anything that's been released in the decade.
That being said, the Kanye record they brought up...I don't believe it's the record of the decade, but it is massive. Most records Kanye has put out have shaped and pushed Hip-Hop in directions no one thought was possible before. We saw R&B sadly eat itself in the 90's and early 00's with how homogenized the sound became; Kanye was a key figure in saving Rap from the same fate.
Do I like the man's public persona? Not lately. Do I think he makes amazing art? 95% of the time.
I will never forget being at Kanye & Jay Z's Watch The Throne tour. I looked around and it was the most engaged arena audience I've ever seen. I've seen a lot of arena shows and most of the time I want to leave. You all know what those huge audiences look like - they're out of towners flocking to the big city to catch a show and feel entitled to disengage and inconvenience the people around them. NOT AT THIS SHOW. Everyone was paying attention, everyone was dancing, everyone put their hands up when one of those two asked them to, to the point of where the entire arena just looked like a sea of hands.
The way he's portrayed himself these last five years? He can go fuck himself with his stupid MAGA hat for it, but Kanye has immense impact on the Rap community and it should at least be celebrated when it's hit out of the ballpark.
See all three of you at Denny's for the extended discussion.

I usually pirate his material, or listen to yedits/comps/leaks, There’s a 6k Groupbuy happening right now for a pre-TLOP era song, (claims to be “Can U Be” levels of grailed) it’s replacing both the “Champion” and “Yetopia” GBs.
I’ll still listen to his work, but I respect your opinion, but I’ll make sure that he doesn’t have any money.
