Ok, this is primarily a thread made for my own masochistic efforts. I decided to take on the challenge of listening to each album showcased on Todd's "Trainwreckords" Youtube series and see how they stand on their own merits. Most of the artists I actually have no real personal history with extensive knowledge of their works (except for CCR), so I'm listening to these virtually in a vacuum. Would they be passable under some unknown artist's name? More importantly, would I actually choose listen to them again?

I just don't want my pain to go unnoticed, like some kinda work of performance art or something. I'm currently halfway through the (as of typing) 28 albums. Here's how they stand so far:

1. Carpenters - Passage (A-)
2. Nickelback - No Fixed Address (B+)
3. Jewel - 0304 (B+)
4. Hootie & The Blowfish - Fairweather Johnson (B-)
5. Billy Idol - Cyberpunk (C+)
6. The Human League - Crash (C)
7. Styx - Kilroy Was Here (C)
8. Spin Doctors - Turn It Upside Down (C-)
9. The Clash - Cut the Crap (D+)
10. Van Halen - Van Halen III (D+)
11. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Mardi Gras (D-)
12. Madonna - American Life (D-)
13. Oasis - Be Here Now (D-)
14. The Beach Boys - Summer in Paradise (I don't like Mike Love at all)

In here is a tragedy, art thou player or audience?
Be as it may, the end doth remain:
all go on only toward death.
...
There is nothing which cannot become a puppet of fate
or an onlooker, peering into the cage.
