I guess I've been watching too much main stream media...

I had some of the funniest dreams I've ever had. The whole thing was some kind of sketch comedy but I really only remember one well, where people were going crazy because SpaceX astronauts from around the the world were attempting to land a little box of some kind on the surface of the Earth from space (documentary style, 'inspirational music', black and white photos and everything)...celeb figures and politicians and all these people had gathered to watch it with people talking about how they'd "landed any object this close to the ground before".
I'm pretty sure Bob Odenkirk played one of the main astronauts and the other I have no idea. Anyways, they did it and everyone went crazy. They even spent fuel firing it from space to the Earth despite the fact this is totally unnecessary thanks to mathematics. Then afterwards it was revealed in poorly put together celebratory photos that it was entirely faked (you can even see the fake crowd in a photo done up Lucasian style where there's only like 50 people in total but they're looped to appear as a few thousand, and just a shitty trailer behind it, there's just like 13 people in total with The Gallagher brothers and Ron Jeremy being their big celebrities. Pan out to a hoax site while the 'thanks to everyone who helped this glorious achievement music"/montage plays to an instructor saying "so you see, we never did land on the Earth. The Russians couldn't even do it and they still have a space programme."
There was more that made it funnier but the idea is so absurd that I could still make a good sketch from it. If I could remember all the details leading up to it, it'd probably be the funniest thing you'd read all day. Seriously, I woke up laughing.
Omikron wrote:I actually laughed reading this. Absurd comedy is my favourite. I've woken up from dreams laughing before but only to realise that it's not funny in reality in the slightest. But this one you had seemed to stand the test of wakefulness quite well.
