Oh, sorry about your cat that's just the worst time in the whole pet owning thing, when they go.

Sorry for your loss, yeah the grief of losing a pet (often a best friend) can be quite overwhelming, and I sympathize. I call what you found a "landmine," something left behind that brings back all the feelings of sadness and grief. But like you said, these are also precious moments for recall and remembrance. It'll be okay and it will get easier

It took me a long time to notice that it says, among other stuff, "wildlife" and "eagle" on a piece of clothing that I usually wear, so I'm here after the ??th listening of Music Has the Right to Children's first two tracks while currently wearing this thing.

I'm so proud that I didn't miss this unique opportunity in my life.

It’s truly bizarre. Stranger than fiction.

It's not really that bizarre if you've been living here. Pretty much expected nothing else at this point from the vibe I'd been getting all year. Americans generally vote in a very reactionary way and they could only take so many episodes of The Acolyte. This, of all things, is was what was important to them.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

"The Purple Sage opened his mouth and moved his tongue and so spake to them and he said:

The Earth quakes and the Heavens rattle; the beasts of nature flock together and the nations of men flock apart; volcanoes usher up heat while elsewhere water becomes ice and melts; and then on other days it just rains."

"The economy, stupid" is a phrase that was coined by Jim Carville in 1992. It is often quoted from a televised quip by Carville as "It’s the economy, stupid." Carville was a strategist in Bill Clinton's successful 1992 U.S. presidential election against incumbent George H. W. Bush. His phrase was directed at the campaign's workers and intended as one of three messages for them to focus on. The others were "Change vs. more of the same" and "Don't forget health care."

As much as I would want to believe otherwise. We currently live with a 24hr stream of international despair and in times of such, people would rather look for answers than solutions. I can only hope that in the wake of his inevitable death (he's already pushing 80), the cult of personality surrounding him will implode upon itself without a worthy successor, just look at how swiftly Pence was thrown under the bus after Jan 6th.

This cutscene has gone from hyperbole to straight-up echoed in the speeches of our current elected officials:

Since I can't edit:

Further note is that a lot of the voting base is disenfranchised Gen-Zedders who either have very little to no faith in the democratic process or have a flippantly nihilistic outlook on it. Many likely chose to a) not vote b) vote for a 3rd party, which was essentially a vote toward Trump c) do something stupid like write in "Harambe 2: Electric Boogaloo" on their ballot. Many younger voters did in fact not like Harris with a heavy disdain regarding the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Trump v Harris was essentially either drink the Kool-Aid and go with the cult of personality, or have some faith in the process and vote for the establishment. The latter is a bit of a hard pill to swallow for an angsty youth. I remember my first election, I wish I didn't though, but I do.

I’ve had countless ideas for BoC music videos. One for Spiro featuring some epileptic shadow play. And one for ATP-02 which features a sunset with multiple edited videos inserted into it.

Also I feel that the live shows give me a strong color vibe with them, such as warp10 being greenish yellow, lighthouse being purple, and ATP being red.
You’re always on a war with yourself, you’re just used to it.

My wife wants to leave the country. I can't really blame her. I used to think this kind of response was overly reactionary, and in many ways, I still do. But does that really matter? What kind of society and culture keeps jerking peoples' chains like that? Probably not one worth living in. 2009-2015, I was all about leaving. I couldn't wait. It never happened and in the years following, I gained more appreciation of what I had and where I was from - some more perspective of the world. I started not hating Americans. I grew to actually take some pride in what it was *supposed* to mean to be an American and I began practicing that myself.

Over the past 4-5 years though, I've seen things change so dramatically. I used to care about everyone. I now pretty much only care about and attempt to protect my own. Care has been absolutely beaten out of me by some of the dumbest people I've ever known and I am exhausted. What kind of cynical, stupid populous would do that? Probably, not one worth living around.

This isn't because DJT got elected again. It's just a long incumbated feeling about the people who'd be willing to elect him again, and our current situation culturally. I really couldn't care less about him. I hate all the "woke" shit too (as nebulous and stupid that term is, I won't pretend I don't get it for this particular statement) but the anti-woke crowd are some of the most selfish babies I've ever seen, and their concerns can't move beyond what they watch while they shove food in their faces.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

You're not wrong. America is really fucked at this point. I truly feel like the "American Empire" is fading into madness and unending selfish cynicism. I think it's beyond the brink

He didn't defeat shit. If there was some big "one party state" like you loonies keep peddling, Trump wouldn't have won 2 terms and Clinton would have won in the first place. Clinton won the popular vote too, mind you. Critical thinking skills, what are they!?

This scene was way too ahead of its time in 2013
