All this brew-ha-ha has buggered two nights of perfectly good backgarden astronomy.
And no, that's not a euphemism either.

but in all seriousness I wonder if the mods have a roster of times which they patrol the boards.

In a frenzied panic state of the board like this, then I'd assume they'd need a mod on pretty much round the clock.

I was back at my parents a few weeks ago and the nearest bus stop is next to a field with a few horses. Just as I was getting on the bus I idly looked behind me and the horses were all looking in my direction. I was curious about how they were interpreting the situation.

A) Even though a few old ponies in a field doubtless have no real experience of prey vs predator, I imagine there's still an instinctive understanding of the principle. So when they saw me, did they interpret the bus a predator and that I was being eaten by it? Even though it was all quite relaxed, I think the idea of little creature goes in big creature's mouth would translate on some level, was it the same as watching a badger eat a worm to them?

B) One of them was fine looking fellow who I wouldn't be surprised has been hauled off to village fetes and the like, plus they will all have been transported to that field in a horse box at a point in their life. Do they understand the concept of transport? They've had at the very least one experience of this in their life, but a horse's reference points must be so far removed from our own is it actually within their comprehensive ability to understand quite an abstract concept?

I still haven't reached a satisfactory conclusion. I think I may never know.

Well, how was the British summer for everyone? I heard it will be on the same day next year. Keeping things consistent.

It was fun, I hung my washing outside. I was wiped out after that, too hot to do anything.

Listen, for us Geordies, an afternoon of sunshine is all we can handle. My idea of a suntan is turning white as opposed to my usual translucent hue.
