A safe space to quarantine my nonsense.
Been having vivid dreams that may or may not be nightmares. I don't fully trust "reality". The demons I've had locked away for years broke through and have been pushing away those that care about me. I want to eat the Royal space jelly.

You can post wherever you want, and if one of the few people here takes a problem with it, tough shit.

I'm just tired of squatting over the other more topic driven threads when I'm the one with the fractured brain.

Why do so many simmers treat Mary-Sue Pleasent like she's some kinda "girlboss" when she's almost at retirement age and only reached level 2 in her career? Now Jenny Smith, that's a woman you can set your watch to. Trained nurse, married an alien, loves her two kids, and had to deal with three eccentric younger brothers.

Every time I see a man walkin' 'round with shorts and sandals I wanna throw a bundle of socks at their gut and tell 'em to go home and think about what they've done. This ain't the beach, no one wants to see your feet.

I just got moved to a new workplace and they said you can wear sandal type shoes without socks and that would be fine for a man because women sometimes do that and I was stoked because I hate socks and usually rock sandal type shoes

I live in the Pacific Northwest. We wear shorts and socks with sandals all the time. We even wear shorts with long johns and sandals. We have these really beautiful sunny but cold days where pants are too much, but shorts aren't enough. It is what it is.

Saying "Big Man With A Gun" is the only bad track on "The Downward Spiral" is like saying "I Saw Drones" is the only bad track on "Geogaddi".

Whenever the phrase "These hos 'aint loyal" enters my head, I hear it internally in Jerry Seinfeld's voice.

I wonder what it says about me that I don't correct people when they don't get my name right. I basically don't have a name at this point. A true sigma grindset or something something whatever.

Honestly my version is I'm beginning to act like one of the Crane brothers in Frasier. Niles or Frasier (but more Niles), I'm seeing more and more parallels.
"Oh spare me, you ludicrous popinjay!"

Double post; been meaning to ask, since I saw Drums and Wires by XTC on your topster sometime ago, I have bought 2 albums by them recently. They were English Settlement and Skylarking which I have been REALLY getting into.
Anything about these albums we can natter over or can you gimme your thoughts on XTC more broadly?

I actually haven't given XTC a listen for quite a while now. I think I only listened up to Black Sea though.

Rodox Head gets political and offends a select few on twoism; more at 11:

I abhor fascism if it hasn't been obvious btw.

Interesting that we went in opposite listening directions, ae I'm gravitating more towards the latter material and their Beatles and Beach Boys psychedelia pastiche, and yet English Settlement happens to be my favourite on the whole. I implore you to give it a go. It's so varied and dense to me, that's just my pluses of course.
I think you might like the songs "Jason and the Argonauts", "Melt The Guns", and "No Thugs in Our House" from it.
(They are the more blood pumping and angular sounding songs like their earlier works, each like a little XTC musical rabbit hole evolving in your ears.)
Black Sea, that's one I've got downloaded with only 1 play thus far.

Wow, thanks for linking these. I've been checking the thread because I absolutely love Black Sea by XTC but haven't delved into anything else. Gonna listen to this next

Oh dear god, I don't like my phrasing in that last post. I don't mean to come across rude and almost pig-headedly imposing, at least how I perceived myself to be, less is more.
I still wanted to give the track recommendations but not in such a yammering way, maybe I forget sometimes the rodox whom I've known for 3 years and is on the other side of the screen.
Oh and NTFMTS, I hope you enjoy it.
tl;dr I'm a bit full on and I need to stop talking like a music critic. This is your thread.
