I made this song to go with a video I recorded of the sun coming up from my balcony. I didn't know it would devolve into a noise orgy.

right now im working on pretty different tracks than my usual.

some dark, slow (110 with the snare on the third), swaggy, guitar based jams. im working on an EP featuring 3 songs 'about' the three beaches surrounding my campus in Vancouver. its gonna be dope, might be released under a different name than my current moniker.

This is really cool man. The feel reminds me of early BOC in a lot of ways. Are you going to do an album with this stuff?

Sorry to repost this, but i could really use some feedback as I'm applying to a music production course and want to pitch myself with something really good, and critical analysis? Oh yeah and really like the tracks Cupz and Turquoise70

Twoismnever,

Great stuff. I personally love it. I like the track composition, and as far as mastering goes, it sounds pretty spot on to me. I think it's an excellent promo piece.

The only thing I would personally do is excite the upper end of the spectrum a VERY tiny amount.

Good work!

Cheers man, really appreciate it - now that you say that the track does sound very bass heavy, think I'll give that a whirl.

I've just released an album, and here's a song from it:

http://soundcloud.com/jeff-vaona/the-fringe-class

I'm thinking about carrying this style on and adding in heavy guitar and bass saturation to pursue a direction in shoegaze, the hopeful end being a mix of IDM and Shoegaze.

So any producers out there know a good way to do inexpensive sound insulation and/or what a good recording program would be. I'm still buying the gear.

I know I know - There is a crapload of Roygbiv-worship going on with the bassline heehee
I'm a man that does not strive for a certain genre, in his music. Ugliness among beauty. Or is the other way, around? Maybe just all ugly.

That's actually really good. I'd love to see it developed more. Keep at it man. You've got the skillz.

btw did you record yourself playing the drums? or how was the drum beat formed?
