no problem, but surely there's no sense to be made of it. i only mentioned it really because followTP has been really good in the past at keeping out nonsense. it usually gives more detailed messages like, "http code change to 200" or whatever. caught the black box add too--"new flash element added".

all it really means to me is that something at all is going on still, however trivial.

The followthatpage updates are a bit hit and miss in my experience. I signed up years ago and they do work, but sometimes hours or days later. For examepl, I've not had the email mentioned yet.

Still, it does all add to the overall impression that something is about to happen and that can only be good news.

Sean Booth: What does that even mean? It's just gibberish.
Rob Brown: What a stupid idea for a title.

Only here would that qualify as a joke. :)

It will be extremely disappointing if we get no news by the end of the month, since the box appeared at the start of the month it seems like a hint of an announcement before April. If there's STILL no update before April then there's no hint of when we could get an update.. I think that makes sense?

Anyway I have a feeling the new album will be similar to Geogaddi, especially with everything that's going on at the moment, but I would personally love a whole album in the same vein as IABPOITC - that is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard and what got me into their music in the first place and what, for me, is their defining record. :)

Do you think they would play a nasty April Fool's Day prank this year? Seems like that happened last year or year before...

That was Joyrex over at WATMM, not the band themselves.

HA! Yeah, a prank like that from the band would suck.

You just never know with BoC. They are so unpredictable and secretive. :?

I know this won't win me any favors here or anything - but I've got a baby due in November and it would be pretty freaking cool if baby and new Boards of Canada came out in the same month....

BUT, if that doesn't happen - I'll settle for the same year, lol.

I can't wait to play BoC for my kid. My wife likes them too, which is always nice. Our kid is going to be the coolest ever.
There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.
