It's like a zombie apocalypse, we don't even trust our own kind.

You guys use acronyms too damn much. Jesus....

Sorry, Oscar See Through The Red Eye was released as a single about a month and a half before the album was officially out. I listened to it so many times on repeat through headphones that it was never quite the same in the context of the album for me. One of my favorite musical works of all time.

Ah well, that's what confused me. The extra T. It's just Oscar See Through Red Eye. No "The".

As for that youtube channel. Ironically it sounded way too much like BoC to actually be BoC. Obviously a fan attempt, only focusing on the older works.

I got into BoC in early 2005 and remember purchasing the OSTTRE single in early September (and listening to it on repeat for hours). Was the announcement July? The album was released in October.

As far as i remember announcement (and leak) was somewhere mid august.

It most likely isn't BOC. Makes sense that it would be on the real youtube page if it was. Either way, at first it was a welcome surprise of sound. Oh well...

Yes. The video you uploaded on the YouTube account you made shortly before coming here to post it as a BoC leak is totally legitimate. Thank you for bring this astonishing discovery to our attention.

Guys, have you seen the new One on Twoism Volume 8 leak? Seriously, it's ALL real and almost ALL tracks by polar sky with 69 seconds of silence at the end of each one, followed by a serious of comical noises!
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

OK so its obviously a fake but I'd be interested in knowing where it came from. A lot of people try the monosynth+tape fuzz+wobble method of imitating BoC but usually it doesn't come out sounding interesting.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say, I sure hope this limb doesn't break.

Well that's generally what happens when ppl try to copy another style rather than let it inspire them to do their own thing with that sound.

Ive heard worse rattling and humming than that fake but still it is lame to be trying to reproduce some other artists sound rather than creating own unique stuff. Influence is another thing.

BoC really isn't the originator of that style either. Tons of people (myself among them) are highly influenced by lofi aesthetics, such as on the video. Copying and/or getting inspired by an aesthetic what keeps culture flowing. The fact is, nobody is unique, not even BoC.

Yeah but if you advertise and promote yourself as BoC it is kinda obvious that you are trying to mimic them as much as you can also. My intention was not to say that BoC is the creator of lofi or owner of lofi sound, that would be very unwise and trollish. Dunno if the poster who posted that track under BoCs name did the track, or is it someones else track and this youtube fella is just using it for trolling. I would like to hear more of that stuff, hopefully under the creators real name/alias.

Oh ok yeah, but that's a whole another subject and not what I meant, and not what I thought you originally were talking about. I too would like to hear more of the original artist, whoever he/she is :)

Most definitely not BoC, but it could be, sweet track in any case.

I agree!! I love it! It has a good atmosphere.
The fun thing is. If it would be BoC for real, then suddenly much more people would like it...
