I have no idea where that came from, but it's nonsense. Warp is a thriving label, and the only people who owe BOC money are illegal file-sharers and shady third-party Facebook apps who host officially unreleased music and charge money for it, certainly none of which reaches Warp or EMI or the band themselves!

Like somebody else said.

If I was fucking loaded with a serious bank balance, where money was no object, I would gladly pay the BOC whatever they needed. I'd pay Warp off if they wanted that too. And couldn't give a damn if I made a loss on it.

I'd say the same about Aphex but he would take the piss lol.

What does "officially unreleased music" mean? Old Tunes?

I paid $85 dollars for Geogaddi on vinyl, $70 for Campfire Headphase, $40 for Twoism, $30 for ABPOITC, and $25 for Hi Scores... I think I've paid my full dues to BoC even though I downloaded all the mp3's illegally. So mdg, any word?

edit: yes I am aware not all of that went to BoC themselves, but still.

Bought 2nd hand on ebay? (Like me). I'm guessing BOC don't see any of that money either.

Wow - I seem to have put some noses out of joint - apologies!! What the hell is a troll by the way? I'm a luddite ... for the record :D

I just thought I'd post on a BOC forum ( this is a BOC forum right?) some thoughts / gossip / hearsay .... call it what you will .... about ... erm .... Boards Of Canada! Y'know .... something relevant .... some thoughts on why my favourite band ( that's right ... you guessed .... BOC !!) might not have released an album in six years ..... and when you're privy to any tidbits you can get from peeps who know THOSE peeps ( Boards Of Canada ) who do zero publicity themselves surely a little speculation isn't gonna hurt?

Ps -I think 'BS' posts make up 99.9% of this forum non? Even the moderators don't seem to give a hoot as surely it would have been shit-canned by now !!!

One things for sure, certain people who are supposed to be in the know, obviously don't know much. Just replying 'BS' without adding anything else, is ironicly the same old BS.

Bullshit Posts make up 99.9%? No. This forum is filled with amazing talent and great people. We share music, art, photography, poetry, feelings, thoughts, advice ect... It's not just about BoC. This forum is filled with great things. Now if you're just talking about this Section of the forum then I will agree that recently the BoC section has been kinda dull but that's not our fault, we are all hungering for new BoC... eventually we all run out of things to talk about when nothing new is happening with BoC.

It sucks, but once they release something new!? This place will be like 2005/2006 all over again!

Hey Culp Tech.... if you really are engaged in the music and arts circles of the area wouldn't you have actually come across Mark or other members of hexagon sun like Peter Campbell?

and to be fair i dont think thats how it works with regards to just bumping into "members" of hexagon sun because you happen to play music in edinburgh. haha. fingers crossed right enough....

This is crazy, so so crazy. Why do we all care so much? They're just a good band.
Also, trolls are only going to make the craziness even worse, so thanks MDG.

mdg only told us what we could have figured out on our own. There was no real news there. Thanks for what?
