Listening to this while awake (usually I hear it when asleep and in deep sleep at that), this sounds VERY strange and alien like. When I woke up during it I was hearing piano melodies and whatnot, constructed by implied direction by these weird sounds that appear to be "nothing"... cooooool

She has to be amongst my favorite singers, she has an incredibly warm voice, for the record this isn't metal at all :) for anyone interested here's a sample clip

One of my favorite pieces of ambient music EVER! You've inspired me. I only break this one out once in a blue moon.

Being French helps a lot in that department seeing as I'm Québécois :)

Ah, I see :).

I love French music, mainly female vocalists, myself even though I don't understand a word of it. Artists like Gainsbourg/Birkin, Zouzou, Catherine Ribeiro (check this one out! nice avant-garde stuff with seventies synths), Anne Sylvestre, Poppys, Anna Karina, France Gall and so on. Also, if you're a fan of breathy french vocals as well, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sHxY_5VCNg .
