24 hour stomach bugs are fun aren't they?

Dragged myself through work on a wing and a prayer yesterday, then crawled home and spent the whole evening flitting in and out of a semi-delirious stupor, wearing two jumpers and a blanket. If I so much as moved an inch away from the blanket, I was shivering like an Arab in Greenland.

Horrible.
Horrible.
Horrible.

Yeah I had one last september where I was in my bed for 24 hours completely lost in a fever. Bloody horrible stuff. Get well soon mate.

lol yep, he's adorable. He also knows this and uses it to his advantage constantly. Like I'll be lying on the couch and he comes up and rests his head on the cushion and stares at me until I feel guilty and let him up on the couch lol.

He also has no concept of personal space and constantly sits or lies on people even if he's bigger than them..

the perfect antidote to the constant bombardment of advertisements for "special christmas deals" that are looped 24/7 in the u.s. ;)

nobody ever says that about me... :( :? :P

on another note: here is an incredibly funny story i found about aphex twin's come to daddy video:

When I was a junior in high school, I took this Music of the
Twentieth Century class, and the final project was to do a
massive report on a contemporary artist. Of course I chose
Aphex Twin, especially when I heard that we get to play
songs at the end of our presentations or (and this is what
really got me) videos!

I started by wheeling in the TV and turning off all the
lights. It was awesome because no one had a clue what was
going to happen on the screen. That was the best venue to
show a group of people Come to Daddy ever. This class was
usually so rowdy (especially considering the fact that our
original teacher had been arrested for giving alcohol to
minors, and we had had subs for the last two months of
class), but after Come to Daddy it was so damn quiet. One
girl spoke, "Ross, that was fucked up."

Then I gave my little speech thing and played Windowlicker
in it's entirety (sub could care less).

It was one of my funnest experiences in high school.

Recorded a live improvisation which sounds pretty good. Anyone know how I might go about getting gigs if I wanted, and how short they can be (cause I reckon I'd be good for shorter spots)?

I feel better today than I've felt in a long time.

For years I have struggled with OCD in the form of pure O, a disorder where intrusive thoughts come into my head constantly and will not leave. This has caused so much anxiety that I have been so introverted and in so much pain with no relief save for the usage of drugs that cannot be taken daily as they would destroy my life.

I have tried so many different medications and searched relentlessly for one that could help me. Years and years have gone by and I've found nothing that helps.

Tonight I tried amphetamine. I spoke to people without any awkwardness, I cleaned my house, I completed tasks without interruption from unpleasant thoughts, I felt invincible. I felt like I could do anything. My obsessive thoughts went from being a huge, controlling overlord to a tiny ant on the ground and I pointed, laughed and stomped on them.

I will be getting an Adderall script tomorrow. I can't believe I went through so much suffering when the solution was right there and I had just never bothered to try opening that door.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

alternatively, send tapes *cough* i mean mp3's to local promoters and/or venues along with a short note explaining who you are and what you want to do.

good luck!

Does anyone have any thoughts on Hi8 vs. VHS for a lo-fi video project?
