How?

You can't send a letter to their studio or whatever. That would be the only way to actually communicate with them. They don't post anything on their facebook, twitter, etc. Warp knows just about as much as us unless they are hiding something, so you can't really communicate with Warp about it either.

Maybe if you searched through all the Pentland Hills you'd find the Hexagon Studio and you could ask them in person.

OK, I'm being selfish and I know I am. I didn't realise that BoC had become popular with the current "Hipster" trend. I can't help feeling a little resentful of this, as I hate the idea that BoC may have become more popular just because a bunch of fashion victims have been told they must like BoC.

This is both a cynical and selfish attitude (and my evidence for this is somewhat shabby) I know, everyone should be allowed to enjoy BoC regardless of how they found them, but it still leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.

I can't help wondering if the album delay is because the Brothers feel a little of that same resentment - given their propensity for avoiding the limelight.

Flame me, I probably deserve it.

'Hipsters' as a descriptive trend goes back to the late 90's. And if anything the Boards becoming more popular is their own doing, given that The Campfire Headphase was accompanied by a single and numerous press interviews. Plus the album itself is a bit more accessible to a mainstream audience (in relative terms).

No need for flames, just context.

I think its going to be a 2 disc album, full of goodies. And possibly what had taken them so long was remastering of old tunes and future releases, so in all theyre done and just release every now and then, and then they will retire

Trying to make a perfect record is pointless. Look at the bigger picture. The universe is a huge chaotic mess and everything we make is just farts in the wind.

New album is delayed because they're having difficulty clearing samples of Paul Simon farting in the wind.

But of course!!!! They're legaly witheld to state they quit due to the timeless contract with warp to release 5 albums. Any message stating they're not publishing anymore, of no longer making music gives warp the possiblity to claim them for breaking the contract.

Seen on WATTM:

"Twoism.org almost ruined BoC for me. Before going to that forum, I never associated the music with wimpy dudes and Peter Pan syndrome."

 Hilarious
