Regardless, like many many many people, he has made predictions and jokes for the last 7 years (at least) about new albums. He's a troll at best imo. If it's not intentional on his part then he should just keep his mouth shut.

well the person who said an album is coming June this year is pixelives. he knew about the release of Autechre's Exai about a month before anyone else did. Joyrex just kinda agreed with pixelives that he also heard something about a June release.

I'm surprised by the lack of pessimism in this thread for once! I feel like I usually see a bunch of it.

But anyhow, there's four (supposedly) legit sources now saying they've heard something about a 2013 release; Diadhaidh, pixelives, Joyrex, and dealer.

I have precisely 0 insider knowledge but I have a knack for always getting into bands shortly before they release a new album. Don't know how I manage it but a huge percentage of bands that I get seriously into release an album within a year of me discovering them. I discovered and fell in love with BoC's music in June of last year.

I'm not sure I can go that fast to be honest. It took me 21 years to get round to listening to MBV.

In other news - people - what's all this bullshit about Joyrex and April Fool's jokes and some pixelwhassisface? Don't make me go looking at WeAreABunchOfWankers, please. The detox shower I have to take afterwards is no fun. It's takes ages to wash the CilitBang off...

Must. See. Album artwork.

Even with the insider info though, I'm still waiting for a real announcement. I've been expecting it every summer (June 9th particularly) for too many summers now to keep building it up. Still totally fucking psyched up like I've never been for a new album. And my god how good a double LP would be...

Let the hype continue.

what was interesting was that they heard boc has done a return to geogaddi mode, its even scary.

even more interesting is that Pixelives posts mentioning this and the 'June' date have now been... removed!

mad.

yep, i just went over there an hour ago to re-read the geogaddi reference and nothing. you can see where later posters refer to his posts but they've vanished. he has left just one post on that thread. either he's been slapped by the powers above him or he did it himself. i'll go with the former cos one can't delete their own posts over there afaik just edit for a short time.

can't really remember the lines of it but something about his insider friend saying its more along the lines of geogaddi than their last or mhtrtc. if true i'd imagine its going to be far out there, very experimental but not sounding like geogaddi just out there haha. i can't feckin wait. a double whammy of that would be sweet.
