okay seeing these makes me think that the bathroom symbols are probably not a clue. they just seem like a periodically repeated decor tile, not uncommon for washroom design of that era. the "men's room" seems to have its own version - the white tiles with the 1950s looking traingles.

however i do find it interesting that some people think the gas station isn't involved at all, since warp went through some effort to project a video of the place in a very public place across from a significant record store. which is quite a definite statement. and in this climate where every detail is being thoroughly scrutenized from all angles, surely they would have anticipated that someone would wonder where that gas station was? it's not a very big leap of logic.

i find it hard to believe that the projection was purely incidental, merely acting as visual wallpaper to create a "desert vibe." to me it seems like a very deliberate choice.

I'm sure they anticipated that some people would wonder where that image was taken. But my guess is that they never anticipated someone would actually be able to identify the place.

i don't know - i'm pretty sure warp is well aware of how crazy BOC fans are.

how about boc fans are up for a little fun...rather than say crazy. hmmm? ;)
its true, some people cant have fun while other do.

I was skeptical about the nuclear connection, but these little details trickling in are beginning to convince me. The fact that signalquality.co.uk was updated in January is interesting, but what's more is that it redirects to a missing page on the EPA's website about radiation protection. Hmm.

edit: It looks like the missing page with the file name "radnet-chicago-bg.html" has been relocated here.

Crazy thing that www.newcleardawn.com was registered in 2005 and http://signalquality.co.uk was registered in 2004. Here's a thought, could this new release and it's method of clues have been planned that far in advance? Seems far fetched, but still. Only BOC would put this much detail into something like this.

yeah i meant the fun kind of crazy as opposed to the batshit version.

though in retrospect it isn't especially crazy to see the gas station projection and then google image search "abandoned gas station California desert" and then see if anything matches up. if BOC/warp assume that we'd able to find a hidden data in a message board banner and use it to piece together one of the 40-second number clues, then they should assume that we're also savvy enough to use google.

You guys have to keep in perspective the position of this town. Yeah, there are abandoned buildings and some ghost structures, but it's not like some remote, 4 wheel drive, wilderness territory that no one has ever heard of. It's literally on a major CA freeway. I passed it several years ago driving from Kansas to Joshua Tree. The ZYZZXA whatever exit is very memorable. That place probably has drunken teenage ragers every weekend with kids spray painting shit. If this were some ultra remote mining town in deth valley only accesible by helicopter, only then would I start being suspicious of all the spray paint and BOC (or their videographer proxies) having visited there.

It almost seems like two games are afoot. It's interesting how a lot of their posts have only been on either the 11th or 22nd of each month. My prediction is, we get two releases this year - dark one on June 11th (New Clear Dawn) and Cosecha on September 22-23rd. All the nuclear imagery, and Yerma being the opposite of Cosecha would make sense - the former would come the 11th, the latter the 22nd, at harvest time.

Rumors of a double-album release have been rampant for some time...

How about this:

- Part I is all "yermo" themed (desolation, destruction, despair, death)

- Part II is all "consecha" themed (rebirth, ressurrection, harvest, life)

My mind is blown.

I feel that the duplication of the same hint (NPR/outside of RT) is a hint in itself. If the gas station escapade really WAS related (I am somewhat skeptical), the two opposing pyramids on the tile could be a hint too - light and dark, two puzzles to solve.

It makes me wonder if every hint will be repeated - once online, once in the "real world" - one being for the dark release, one for the light. For all their talk of "the internet is evil" and the various seeds planted years ago online tending toward more ominous subject matter (NCD, signalquality.co.uk, the nuclear banner on Warp's website, etc) it makes me wonder if all the internet clues should be grouped together, and anything in the "real world" should be considered separate.

Wild speculation, but I'm starting to get a strange vibe.

And there have been two 12" that were found, one in NYC then one in the UK, lends some credence to that explanation too.

Your notion of dark/light references is very interesting. I could be wrong but remember our old friend the black box on the BOC site... If you visit the page, the box is actually white by default. When you click it now, it turns black. I'm pretty sure I noticed this on my desktop earlier this week. I'm on an iPhone now so I can't recheck. Not sure if this is of any significance, just thought it was interesting.

perhaps the yermo thing is like the ID tags on the noise wavs. just a title give away [providing its double lp[and that the cosecha give away was just that]]

i like what youre thinking

It kind of makes me think that the Yerma/NCD material would be the older material mostly recorded between TCH and now, and released first, followed by the "new material"/"new seeds"/harvest with Cosecha in the fall.

My predictions are June 11th and September 22nd-23rd for new BoC.

i don't think they've given the titles away as such, rather the themes
i would be surprised if they kept these titles in any capacity
*farts*

Adult Swim just aired a 30 second 8mm style commercial, it caught my eye as it stood out from their normal commercial "bumps", then the audio from the Record Store Day vinyl played, with the number and everything. Then the BOC logo appeared briefly with the number code below.

I didn't catch the number unfortunately... A friend and I were watching the commercial wondering what it was, then the music snippet from the vinyl started and by the time I caught my breath and busted out the camera, the code had already passed. I'm certain someone is DVR'ing Bleach right now and could upload the video :)
