bargains to be had

This is mine. I listed it at such a high price for several reasons. The main one being that I really don't want to sell it. But I'm in need of money and my BoC collection is the most valuable thing I have to sell right now. Another reason is its condition. It is pretty much perfect and I have not seen an Aquarius in this condition ever. The third reason is due to seeing things like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Boards-Of-Can ... 159wt_1200

If a fairly poor condition Campfire Headphase is worth £230 at the moment then surely a mint Aquarius is worth a similar price :?.

I hate overly inflated prices for BoC merchendise as much as the next guy, trust me. But selling my Aquarius is painful and frankly I thought I'd just list it at a price that it's worth to me and if someone wants it they can have it and if not, I'll keep it.

Saying that, I might just take it down and relist as an auction to let people decide how much its worth themselves.

Is this one the same you won in the auction for charity here? LOL :)

No, that one was in pretty bad condition. I don't have it anymore.

Yep fair enough, it's in lovely condition by the looks of it and that campfire headphase just boggles my mind, an anomaly, because the DC price certainly doesn't reflect that and nor do other ebay prices ;)

hah, just about 2 months ago I saw someone on amazon selling a brand new Campfire Headphase LP for $27

I asked him if it really was the VINYL version and by the time I got a response someone else already bought it

I really hope they didn't resell it

What the hell is wrong with people? Who the fuck would spend that? I am huuuuuge fan and I would NEVER spend that kind of money on those items. I guess someone just has money to blow.

I see your postcard and hexagon and raise you an invite and hexagon.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111105276079

That's 112 quid for future readers versus 77 quid for hexagon stickers and turquoise hexagon.

holy shit, 230 GBP for TCH. I got mine in near mint a few months back, before the new release hype, for 80 or 90 euro. That price is absolutely insane.

500 for the tapes too is far too much, i think 200 max each is more along the lines and a reasonable price, but shit seems mad expensive now coz of the new release. I never would have thought the geogaddi invite and hexagon would go for so much.

I still need some stuff for my collection, but reckon gonna wait a few years til shit dies down!

well ultimately my hexagon stickers and my geogaddi invite are going to do the same thing
there was another invite and hexagon that went for even more just quietly haha

seems like it's just getting greedy. now all of the releases are stuck in the shit-vortex of record flippers that have little to no connection to the music, never to escape because i doubt most fans of the band would drop a full paycheck on something that's not exceptionally rare. it's artificially creating more demand and inflating everything each time it changes hands. unfortunate, but i guess it's how these things work.

^hell i couldn't afford anything but the TH record
paying anything more than 30-40 for a record that isn't a super rare release is just unjustifiable for me

would you not consider getting some printed cheap at a local print shop man? If not they got some on ebay and I got some nice fake ones on Redbubble for cheap, die-cut of the logo, nice enough. Just wanted some for the laptop, but will be getting em printed up myself if I decide to get more
