Last night I walked around barefoot in the pouring rain. It was perfection. The streets were flooding! The rain was cold, I was soaked, I loved every single moment of it!

Fuck. Yeah.

Well, :D to you too! :)

I just have to ask, is that flower in your avatar a Zinnia? Or a Dahlia? Or a Chrysanthemum? Or a Dandelion? Or something else?

It's a dandelion. I was out digging up the roots to roast to make dandelion chai. I could go on and on about everything I love about dandelions.

They had a "guess how many are in the jar" contest at work and I won a giant jar full of pens/markers/crayons etc and I am so ridiculously excited about it. I think I might have been the only person who actually wanted to win it.

Just so I'm clear here, I'm guessing it wasn't a "guess how many dandelions are in the jar" contest. That would be inhumane.
Well done on winning though. :)

For the record, there were 308 things in the jar, mostly pens and markers, but some scissors and pencil sharpeners and shit too. It was a pain in the ass to carry home on the bus though.

I got to keep the 2.5 gallon mason jar they came in too, and plan on using it to make mass amounts of pickled beets.

Everything is coming up rainier! :)

They are! Edible greens and the roots are a good for the liver and kidneys. And they grow everywhere even when people don't want them to and make abandoned lots cheerful. Dandelions don't give a fuck, they do what they want man. I can get behind that.

I agree with everything you said here! I have a dandelion garden. My tortoise can't get enough of the leaves and neither can I! (He's a big ass tortoise! - African spurred tortoise.)

The leaves can be considered bitter but I eat them raw or cooked. You know. I have yet to eat a flower or root but I've read they are also edible and nutritious!

Can't help but notice you're one post away from 666.

- The most common carbon isotope (Carbon-12), the basis of all known life on Earth, consists of 6 protons, 6 neutrons and 6 electrons

- In Kabbalistic Judaism, 666 is the number which represents the creation and perfection of the world. The world was created in 6 days, and there are 6 cardinal directions (North, South, East, West, Up, Down).

Just an observation. <<< Evil face is just a joke. I'm a fricken angel and I'm sure you are too! :)

Hooray! My 666th post here at ye olde twoism!

With the exception of one thing that sucks really really bad and is making me sad, my life has been going really well lately and all these amazing opportunities have been opening up for me.

I got to help out as part of a hypnotherapy training today and when I got my paycheck my eyes almost bugged out and I think I'm going to save up to get certified as a trainer for realsies.

I've been selling a decent amount of art lately and a friend is going to start selling my prints and hypnotherapy recordings through her website.

It's starting to seem like I might be able to start making a living doing things I actually love doing and not have to have a shitty day job anymore.

I've felt so directionless for so long, but it's finally starting to feel like things are coming together for me. I was SUCH A MESS a few years ago, and it's not like things are perfect now, but I have come so ridiculously far it's crazy. I used to think life was nothing but pain and struggle, I used to dread waking up. Now I feel so grateful to be alive.

Your post makes me happy-sad. :?

It hurts to hear that you are sad! :( I can only imagine, which hurts worse because I'm an emotional wimp. (I'm realizing how mean I am to myself. I better work on that!)

I'm so sorry for the one thing in your life that is hurting you. (I really hope it's not too bad, my mind is running wild here!) And I'm so sorry that a few years ago, you felt that you were a mess. (Again, my mind is running wild.) Nevertheless, I'm glad that you are finding your direction and I hope whatever is bothering you works itself out for the best!

It hurts me to hear you say that you dreaded waking up and that you felt life was all pain and struggle.

It feels so good to hear you say that now you are grateful to be alive! Tis a beautiful life! So many wonders to see! So much pleasure to be had!

But DAMN! Selling your prints and recordings! Making money doing what you love! This is fantastic news! Things seem to be looking up! And that makes me happy :D You will get to that perfect place! I can feel it! :)
