Oooh! New studio-type action on Facebook. Of course, the term 'action' is all relative. Still, SOTL + Icelandic Studio = many exciting possibilities 8)

Just saw this one and a few others on Adam's Instagram the other day, got me really excited :D
They edited out the photo's description mentioning the new album for some reason, interesting...

Finally got my first physical SOTL (Refinement on CD) today :)
Was about time I guess, but they're not that easy to get in Germany and usually over 20 euro (just noticed by the way i can't use the euro sign, along with some others. posts ends up empty. anyone else experienced that?).

Can't stop listening to Even If You're Never Awake (Deuxieme)
The part at 3:37 is one of the most emotional moments ever in music for me. Beyond words.

i'm totally with you regarding even if you're never awake. i had one of my most happiest and enlightening moments with this song as the soundtrack. the song will always take me to that memory and leave me with an overwhelming bitter-sweet sadness.

and their refinement of the decline is easily in my top three releases of all time. it's all about the subtlety in this record. every little nuance carries such weight. it's the soundtrack to life...

i'm thinking aloud here...but that indeed is what this record does...memories, moments, feelings...it just expresses life so fluently.

I may or may not have just bought plane tickets to Chicago for Kranky20. And tickets to Stars of the Lid/Loscil. And trying to weight whether or not the missus would tolerate Tim Hecker.

It's gonna be hella cold. And awesome.

And Pan-American! I couldn't find anybody to accompany me to Chicago that weekend, but by Thursday I was seriously considering going by myself.

Kinda wish I had now.

"stunning, twenty-plus minute renditions of “Requiem for Dying Mothers,” the opening suite on 2001′s Tired Sounds, and “December Hunting for Vegetarian Fuckface" oh my god
I really really need to see them live at least once before I die.

December hunting was my personal favourite when I saw them live. It was a force of nature!

Could someone make this into a decent mp3?
