Sagan: In order to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

Basinski: I wanted Cascade to become this crystalline organism like a star or a liquid crystal spaceship, a jellyfish traveling through the galaxy…

Been digging into a whole bunch of new music (at least to me) lately. Mostly minimal in style. Namely Vladislav Delay, Recondite, Robag Wruhme. Thora Vukk is an incredibly good album I'm so glad I discovered it. Definitely different from his minimal techno by implementing field recordings. I adore his percussive elements they have a signature that is distinctly his no matter what he is doing.

One of my favorite tracks off the album

I love that record, it's like Herbert meets Max Richter in parts. It just missed my top 25 of 2011 but still, much appreciate.

this is my personal favourite

speaking of meat beat manifesto I've been digging into FSOL's first 3 albums. I was really remiss in doing so. I truly love Papua New Guinea probably my favorite dance track of all time. (samples meat beat manifesto bassline)

@ The Telepathic Kid you know now that you mention it I totally hear the Matthew Herbert similarity in this work. No wonder I like it. I really liked Bodily Functions back in the early 2000's.
