According to the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency, Christ. only co-wrote/played on "Mellisa Juice".

anyways....just a thought

Didn't they say that there was one track on TH that was definitely older then the rest? Like it was actually omitted from TCH since it didn't fit the feel?

TH or even TCH has nothing to do with Chris though, so its irrelevant

I'm just saying that it has been confirmed that there are track(s) on TH that are very old.

Can we all, ALL, please calm down. Believe it or not, and contrary to a couple of recent examples, I do not enjoy closing threads but I will when things start to get personal.

That's the warning, to EVERYONE.

About your business you crazy kids..

You know, I was going to send a PM your way about closing this thread. I created it unfortunately and I guess this community can't handle it. I didn't send it though because I thought we weren't there yet and we didn't need that kind of moderation but honestly if there's a problem in the future, just shut it down. Not that this is my choice or that the topic has anything to do with me, I'm just putting it out on the record that locking this won't bother me because I made it.

Peacock Tail wrote:The title of this thread always suggested that this wasn't going to end well.

No, the title of this thread was lifted from another forum based on a thread of the exact same name where the community was fine with it. People should have the ability to differentiate their opinions from others like adults. There's a million different things I could respond to now in this thread with nothing but amazement that it was all such a big deal, but I'd rather not at this point.

Posters make this "not end well", and it was going fine for some time before Tomorrow's Harvest got dragged in. That seems to be the trigger on this forum.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

It's not "ending" unless Mexi pulls the plug, and right now we're at a normal discussion pace. There are no explosions. It's fine right now.

As I said, there's no reason it needs to "not end well". There's no reason it needs to "end well". There's no reason it needs to end at all. I don't like it when people exaggerate something on either side (this applies to what has been said in here and what Cupz did the other day with his "good enough" thread. I get what he was trying to do but it was unnecessary).

People should just go back to sticking with the subject matter and have a little respect for a fellow poster. I know some people can get on your nerves but I've seen very few real problems. Agree to disagree you guys. That is in fact part of the purpose of this thread. It also needs to be acknowledged that disliking some aspect or work of BoC =/= disliking BoC or trying to incite drama. I post here because I LOVE this band. LOVE them. They are not infallible though and I don't hold that opinion alone.

A lesson to be learned: I think when someone sees a persistent opinion that makes them feel like the other person is trying to upset them, they need to know that for sure before pointing fingers. Apparently it does more damage than the inverse. I tried to PM Naj and wanted to let the guy know something but he's blocked PMs. I don't know if that's been that way or that's a product of the recent flak.
Okay...now...wait for fog machine.

Well amen to that.

I agree BOC aren't infallible. I agree people should voice opinions that criticise.

And you're right about having respect for the poster. But shouldn't there be equal consideration for the folks reading your posts too?

Absolutely, but that's the problem. For every ten remarks of equal consideration you get, you get a PM calling you dumb or an intentional misinterpretation of what you said from someone having a bad day. It's like the inverse ratio on other forums and - time and time again - what makes this particular forum beautiful. We don't have a lot of moderation because we don't need a lot of moderation. That's a good thing. If someone isn't willing to be a team player then they'll stick out and eventually something will happen, but it's a difficult decision for a mod. The one kid who stole the teacher's marker and won't admit to it makes the whole class miss recess. This childhood analogy is the one I'd opt to use when lack of consideration is the behavior of a small minority with enough leverage to bring a thread down because they know they can set others off.

Best idea is to ignore that behavior.

I'm assuming we all want to get back on topic, so I'll just throw something out there.
I don't think Nothing is Real disrupts the flow of TH at all. I've seen it thrown around that it drags on a little too long and it doesn't fit the overall feel.
(Apologies if you guys were still talking about that. I'm just throwing something out there for the topic.)

Agreed.

The only thing which disrupts the flow is Palace Posy, and it does that for a specific reason. Though I am still figuring out what that is. TH is an incredibly difficult and wearing album. That is one criticism I have of it, it is not fun for me. But that comes with the subject matter doesn't it. Unlike most I find Geogaddi very wearing as well, but I love it regardless. I just take these two albums piecemeal, I tend to listen to a bunch of tracks in one sitting. I think it helps me get to grips with them better.

Nothing Is Real is easily my favourite track on TH. :/

This track, Palace Posy, Sick Times and Reach for the Dead make the album for me...

TH kinda goes like this for me:

Fav tracks:
Reach for the dead
Cold earth
nothing is real
sundown
come to dust
split your infinities

ok tracks:
new seeds
sick times
transmisiones
collapse
white cyclosa
gemini

tracks I don't like:
jacquard causeway
semena mertvykh
telepath
uritual
palace posy

Although maybe i'll appreciate the album more in a few years time... I guess i haven't been in the mood for post-apocalyptic/dystopian future music lately

Interesting, thanks. I've Always been curious about exactly what input he had on Twoism. The guy makes incredible music.

He most certainly does. Pylonesque makes my loins tingly.

If TH is an OST, then Palace Posy is an intermission. At least that's how I always thought about the track
