I could see a new BOC album being announced this month and it being released next month. Kind of like Squarepusher's amazing album, Be Up A Hello.

Speaking of which, I think that album wins the "Best Warp Album of 2020" for me, and is one of the best things he's ever done. BUAH is a total triumph for Tom Jenkinson. Unless BOC are going to derail it with their own awesome album, I can't see it not being my favorite Warp album this year.

Even there's no official confirmation, but this sound very nice. Like someone said before, only good vibes!

Does anyone else think this Polygon Window re-issue just on CD just in Japan is a bit underwhelming? Like there needs to be another shoe to drop for this Warp 2020 Campaign to live up to the hype they're clearly going for on Beatink. I do recall RDJ stating earlier this year that he had new material ready to come out but there was more work to do on the front-end.

Not only that - the mystery “?” album they hyped was kind of a dud - IMO - everyone knew and anticipated the second part of Autechre - as well as it leaked that it was going to similar art but green.

So just to confirm (I haven't had the time to stay on top of this like other times) - we've had activity, but nothing groundbreaking yet?

A lot of social media organization generating hype again, but nothing above and beyond that?
There are a lot of different 'me's, you know. There's the mad me, when I get angry.

Imagine getting a new BOC and a new Aphex in 2021. What a rebound that would be from 2020 haha

The bandcamp is fully set up, the IG has two new posts, a Tomorrow's Harvest fan video and an old photo of them and 15 likes on Twitter. Lots of activity but nothing groundbreaking. Though certainly more than usual.

Cheers!

Definitely exciting seeing the activity, either way. Certainly something is brewing...

They certainly picked a strategic time to start doing this. Probably to cheer us all up and give us something to look forward to for the people in quarantine :D

Yup, Be Up a Hello is my 2nd favourite album this year, just ahead of autechre's SIGN.

My album of the year is Amon Tobin's side project Figueroa with his album "The World As We Know It", it's idm/electronic folk, very strange but incredibly moving and catchy, it's gone super under the radar this year but it's easily my album of the year.

Anyway, keeping this on topic, does this mean that Warp have nothing else advertised at the moment? Freaky, the stars feel like they are aligning.

I feel Squarepusher finally managed to combine all his sides into a masterpiece!

And yeah, staying on topic, the newest thing Warp announced was some music videos for some older releases by Danny Brown and Yves Tumor. There are no actual albums slated for release in the future.

I can imagine that IF Warp are planning on announcing something with BOC, (again IF) I'm sure they're bracing themselves and their websites etc. The reaction is going to be huge.

I'm not sure I want BoC to release in this year, it's been a proper fucker. Just been isolating due to having covid and in that time me and the wife exploded and are splitting up for good. A new album would cheer me up but I don't want to associate it with this time in my life haha, that would be a horrible nostalgic trip, every listen.
So Boc, fuck everyone else, can you wait until i'm in a better frame of mind before releasing anything? Or just give everyone the old tunes in the meantime maybe, that's keep them happy for a bit ;)
You could feel the bullshit

Notice they now have photos of the Warp calendar. It includes the 12 releases mentioned on their “campaign 2”—this kind of seems like the end of this campaign. But it seems like more is to come; I’d doubt they’d make it Japan only if it involved a new LP from BOC or AFX.

Does anyone see how to order one of these calendars? It says “ A campaign is underway to get a <WARP> special calendar by purchasing 3 target products!” Is it really that simple? And finally—stupid question—can we order from Beatink if we live in the US?

This was humorous hyperbole hence the haha at the end :D That said, I am quite happy with the music I discovered in this hellhole of a year too, including some new favorites like Long Road Home by OPN and Oakmoss by Bibio.

I'd like to imagine if they release a BOC this Jan, it's probably to create some goodwill for a brand new year.

I think Jan would be a perfect release date. I was hoping for a winter BOC release from 2014...Tho, spring announcment and summer release would be a smart move. Jan feels a little too early...

Maybe not for you, but music is a pretty big part of some peoples' lives. Getting new BoC would definitely make this shitty year better for some of us.
