I'm making a prediction that soon we'll get some kind of blockbuster release. Everything just fits well with the Warp's own schedule and such.

Perhaps even an announcement today or Christmas itself.

One can only hope my friend.. Fingers crossed!

Cheers guys! Happy holidays!

I'll add one last note. Tomorrow is Friday aka the usual day Warp announces things, the final Friday of 2020 and Christmas.

Fingers crossed indeed.

Really would be the best gift possible to hear some new music from the bros. Unlikely for so many reasons, but it would be an excellent panacea for all the madness this year had to offer.

So here's one more theory since nothing was today. The half color circle represents the changing to a new year and day one next year we'll find out what's behind the placeholder.

If the Warp 2020 catalog is indeed "complete" according to the package on Bleep, then this lends to the theory. So does the Jan 22nd date.

If none of this happens though, I'll retire until we get a new bit of evidence haha

I don;t think BOC would want that. They could enhance the experience, tho. More colours and wider horizon. Tho, again, creativity helps. People with art in souls can change world. Tho, the world still controls where we go next. But, I want to touch that distant memory again. Like a star in frozen winter sky.

It's weird. And don't read too much into this, but I think the interaction on the social media this year was sort of a way to cheer people up and make them feel optimistic about the future (at least as far as BOC is concerned.) We've argued for a long time whether it's them or not, but I don't think that matters in the long run.

Based on the whole 'positive vibes' thing the social media was running this year, I actually could imagine Warp starting off the year with a new BOC release. I mean, they've stayed almost completely silent this whole December aside from the catalog site. Either they're on holiday, or they're preparing something for early next year.

Yeah, whether or not it's them actually clicking the buttons themselves (which I still think it almost certainly is, the idea that BoC are somehow incapable of operating Twitter and Instagram seems silly to me), they almost certainly would not let anyone just go making posts on their accounts without explicit permission. This is a group that's very careful about their image, they're not just going to hand the reins of their primary way of communicating with fans to some guy at a label office.

We can assume that whatever is posted there at the very least has their blessing and endorsement.

Also, they did similar social media interactions in the months leading up to Record Store Day 2013 (someone asked on FB if a new album was in the works and they responded simply "Yes.")

Lots of folks thought BoC would do something on christmas but personally I think that there's a greater chance that they'd do something on new year's eve/day:

Don't hold your breath though, 5 * a 0.0001% chance is still just a 0.0005% chance :P
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?

Unfortunately I have no clue lmao. But while you're here, go ahead and check out some of my tunes! You might dig 'em and stuff!

I think we need to remember this more. I feel the social media account has done everything short of saying "yes." Even doing that finger circle emoji that people make when they eat a fancy dish of food. Twice. :P

Wasn't the second one in reference to someone asking about an album?

Well, someone posted on their Instagram "like this comment if you're making another album" and they liked it, so that's pretty direct to me.

They didn't say when, but they're working on it.

how much can we trust the “intuition” of PIC? he followed the boc instagram before it was 100% clear to be official. but now, he follows “marcuseoin” on instagram. I’ve followed the account for a small amount of time (maybe a month) and don’t remember seeing his follow beforehand. i did believe the BoC insta to be real before it was confirmed, but i will say, i’m not sure about this one.... but why would PIC follow a fake account...?

edit: he also follows 4 accounts, which is even more unlike the other socials. the 4 being: PIC, BoC, Alessandro Cortini, and Harakiri Diat. the last of which is a “archive for punks and others”.

I have a suspicion that this account followed PIC, and perhaps he didn’t know any better and followed back. that being said, they most likely still have contact, and while this is plausible, it just seems, odd.

second edit: this account (Harakiri Diat) posted filmmakers music 2 years ago in 2018, before SxT.....
no information at this moment in time

When was this, recently, or are you referring to the 2013 occurrence?

If something doesn't happen soon, there's always Warp50! They could finally sanction the release of the Acid Memories that's on YouTube. The one featuring such rarities as Kaini Industries and 1969. :P

Don't forget the best BoC songs that BoC had nothing to do with the creation or production of, Submarine Tactics by Marumari and Weissensee by Autechre! :P
