I think you mean Thomas Bangalter.

No I mean their Daniel Bangalter aka Daniel Vangarde

i didn't call anyone retarded, and this is still a topic in here.

you really should be embarrassed of yourselves.

i even apologized and said everything i should have, but you people still want to virtue signal and play moral high ground nonsense, trying to make me feel guilty. lmao

it is pathetic as all hell.

You sound hurt and offended? Allow me to explain how it works in as patronising a way as I can muster. If you don't show others respect, you aren't worthy of any in return. Most people learn this lesson somewhere in childhood.

You're free to leave if you'd rather. I suggest WATMM, or perhaps 4chan? Reckon you'll fit right at home with the 'free-thinkers' over there.

Got excited when I saw 7+ new pages on this topic. Disappointed when I realised most of it was just an argument..

Meh, probably. It was early, I'd woke up to a shit tonne of flagged posts and I bit.

Still more interesting than 97% of this thread. He's right about that much, I'll give him that.

Let's stop trying to provoke a response from CW and move on. Starting to feel like Lord of the Flies in here.

Guess it would fit a narrative of the pioneer plaque (whether a release was timed on specific dates or not).

I suspect that it will be dropped with very little lead-up or promotion beyond what the label forces on them. The numbers station ARG was fairly specific to the themes of TH, something they acknowledged in an interview.

That said, if there is a build up and campaign, I'm certain we'll know it's actually happening, rather than making tenuous connections that can't be proven.

Plus after the TH ARG there was a massive wave of fakers and imitators coming up with their own mysterious-looking ARGs to promote their own releases, and BoC have never tended to stick to something very long once it becomes "the thing that BoC does" (think how they basically stopped sampling kids' voices after Geogaddi since it was what everyone was expecting them to do).
If The Campfire Headphase was a butterfly, would Acid Memories be the caterpillar?

Unfortunately I have no clue lmao. But while you're here, go ahead and check out some of my tunes! You might dig 'em and stuff!

Haha, right, but wouldn’t the surprising move be for them to do a similar roll out as TH?

Consulting tea leaves and entrails to try and figure out when a pop group will release a new album does get tedious after a while ;)

Mexicola is doing just fine as a Moderator and human with enough humour to be likeable. I hope you were not considering your boring, tepid young self to be eligible, surely? Some BoC fans do tend to be precious but man, you're on a crusade to kill all the life from anywhere that likes to talk BoC.

This was basically how I was feeling when I wrote my post last night - it's "chaos" out there right now where people are trying to find clues in everything - which is fun for a while, but it's been several years of this now and the most we've had bestowed upon us has been the Societas tape - which had a more traditional marketing campaign.

Basically - have fun everyone, but lets maybe focus less on finding trails for another TH campaign, because you're only going to find disappointment.

I agree with replies after me stating we will know when things are happening, we don't have to work this hard for clues.

Then again, how long did this group go on and on about the black box (myself included...)? Still found new and creative ideas for the hows and whys its existance, heh!

I took Mexicola's comment with a hint of humour. The wild predictions here never fail to amuse me. If you guys make enough, one is bound to be correct eventually.

Here's food for thought - what if we see a buildup/ARG like Tomorrow's Harvest, but with a theme of extraterrestrial life/outer space? Maybe something along the lines of the Wow signal?

This, but does anyone remember the "news" campaign that the movie Independence Day did?

I was watching the Simpsons one Sunday night and they did a whole War of the Worlds style thing where they "took over" the station to broadcast about things happening in the sky, all over the world. Made it look like a real news station and whatnot.

BoC likely wouldn't be able to take over a station (Adult Swim, maybe?) but something along those lines, creating a whole first contact-type story line would be pretty freaking cool.

Either way, I fully suspect there will be a full on *start* for whatever they are doing.

Here's the thing - while some of this deep theorizing and breadcrumb seeking is a bit silly, especially with very little, if any, feedback from official sources (again, MDG hasn't peeped a word since 2015), I feel pretty strongly that BoC has implicitly encouraged this kind of theorizing, starting with the red moon code. They threw out a code which likely led to a 'secret' beach party which got everyone into a tizzy in 2006. Then following on that with the TH campaign - it's understandable to me how the hardcore fanbase might take this to extremes. Personally, I think it's amusing and mostly harmless. I enjoy some mystery and if nothing else, BoC provides a little of that in my life. Where it falls apart is when people start to take it too seriously. The question I ask myself is: are BoC / Hexagon Sun laughing with us or at us? As long as we're at the point where I can imagine they're laughing WITH us, it's all good. If it gets to a point where they might be laughing AT us, it's time to take a break.
