If 822 would still hold any significance I'd expect the cosecha-transmisiones.com to be online still..

Anyone find out what caused everyone here on Sep. 30 2020? Funny how most people online is the same date as metadata in Hi banner on bandcamp community page and “Uuh” upload to Sheol Boundary/creation date of the page. 8 years later though.

Anyway time will tell but I’m looking forward to it myself, remember to come back here when it drops”

Pre-requisite: Last year, BOC posted a banner with new art on their Hell Interface channel on Sep 6th, and we were all trying to make sense of it. I might finally have an idea about that.

Re: It being held up on the production line. Warp hired a supply chain manager in July, probably to deal with getting large amounts of products out to consumers in these trying times. Another huge artist, Flylo, is only getting his physical release for Yasuke released on the 24th of September when the digital album dropped at the start of the year. If what Jamie said is true, it's out of their hands and they're waiting on Warp to make their next move.

I'm starting to think the Pioneer's Plaque indicates the time they finished, sort of like the atom bomb banner for Tomorrow's Harvest, which also got held up at the production line. Could simply be them telling us they've submitted it to Warp.

Imagine Mike and Marcus tirelessly working through 2020 and at last, posting the plaque as a way of telling the world, "We've finished our next album."
Warning: This numerology post is not to be taken 2 seriously.

Good theory! Never thought about it that way.

Yes, good theory indeed. It doesn’t make sense for them to randomly tease us if somethings not coming down the stream.

I have a small box of speculation. Can I just leave it on the front desk?

Absolutely, Sheila looks after speculation and new releases here, Down the corridor, first one on your left! She’s not busy at the moment, so I’m sure you’ll be just fine. if there’s anything else you need, Mr. Mexicola is on the upper floor dealing with fakes and hoaxes.

Ah, yeah. Mexi has his hands full there. Probably why he hasn't popped up here much lately.

I was just thinking - any delay would more likely be in the pressing of the physical release due to Covid rather than anything to do with Warp. If BoC sent them a new album I think they would put it out asap. I did a bit of googling and found this:

Interesting article, thanks for sharing.

“Before Covid, we used to wait a few months to get our records pressed. Now, independent labels are facing six to eight month lead times – and after paying large sums upfront. It is crazy,” says Dominic Williams, label manager at UK-based record label Acid Jazz. “Small labels don’t have the cash flow to wait that long and see [possible] returns. Nor can artists. A band might not even be together by then or the scene could have moved on completely.”

So yeah if the Pioneer Plaque banner modification, posted one year ago almost, was a simple metaphor for them saying the record is done and passed on to Warp it would make sense the wait is still long.

Let's also not forget they can't afford another shit quality run like with the represses. It has to be done properly now and it will have to be in big quantities, world wide. That kind of operation takes time and knowledge. These dire times don't help much really.

Thanks guys. Happy you like the theory. I was thinking, maybe the reason we haven't seen anything that big, except the Squid, which Warp promoted like crazy, is because they're saving it all up for the BOC release. Probably gotta press a shit ton of records I'm sure. Took Squid a good deal of time to be pressed too if you think about it.

if anyone knows who did the artwork for the new remix, post a link to your source.

to me it looks a lot like Robert Beatty's work..

might be a good sign, if so..

Read a post from a record label on FB last week saying they've been told the soonest they can get pressed records back from the plant is February 2022 (!)

Surely Warp have some favour at the pressing plants, but maybe not as much as the majors clogging up the queues by repressing Rumours every 6 months on $40 purple wax.
