I'm loving it thus far, may take a few listens to get the 'BoC Vibes' though.
I now know what's happening in May, we're all being invited to a special sandison DJ set at Ministry of Sound!

Color me raving. 8)

Sounds like the music that is played while a mascot hypes up the crowd before the trampoline dunk.

This remix of Magic Window is...something.

Anyone else remember the days when we would generally speculate on a new release?

We're in such a holding pattern now. Limbo and liminal. Waiting for anything to happen. It feels like the end of the road that never existed in the first place.

What's more to say? Less is where we are.

We've reached a critical point of chicanery and now collectively lost our minds and are sitting willfully at rock bottom.

Is this peak thumb-twiddling desolation?

I'm not suggesting we force it but something's got to change.

That damned thrift store tape was the last straw, and it was the short straw.

This is just another regular ol' quiet period. It'll pass soon.
Fate is a fickle mistress, who only bestows occasional fortunes. Until then, it's thumb twiddling time.

My ultimate goal is to see this thread hit 1000 pages.

New release confirmed the day we hit it

I've been reading interviews all day because thumb-twiddling desolation and what not.

in this interview: https://bocpages.org/wiki/The_Charms_of_the_Sphinx, they say they wanted to "bring back a feeling of anticipation for new music that has largely been lost in recent years, mainly because of the internet. "

I think that have a similar approach/idea going on right now.

Even though it was a similar desolate nightmare world of speculation in the years between TCH and TH, they still made plenty contact. This time around the most we get is a twitter like .

They want us to feel desperate. They're stringing us around as minimally and cryptically as possible.

This isn't going to turn into some giant theory post or anything. This is just noting what I now think is going on. It's possible most of the weird activity they've done is meaningless, intended to confuse us.

How little can they do that still technically counts as activity, and still keep our attention? They're finally utilizing the internet.

They want to see just how thin they can stretch our spirits. I think sitting through this e-torture is going to majorly pay off.

Indeed, brother. We must all die before we are rewarded in the afterlife with new BoC music. Amen.

I will tell you this. The wait definitely feels like a parody at this point so I agree with Biz. It usually takes an artsy band three years to release a new album in this day and age but it's been nine years so that's three general artsy band albums in this time span.

I always go back to Aphex since he actually had a full schedule after his 2014 comeback and I think it goes to show that for BOC this is a side project for them. Which is a curse for their fans obviously. A shame because they're so talented but that's how they chose to live their lives and we gotta respect it. They're so good at producing trippy ad music that I'm sure they compose regular ad music in the mean time.

After the 7 year wait and tomorrows harvest being dropped, something changed with me (and also them I think).
I have had zero expectations after that album. Apparently its been 9 years? Ive barely noticed, whereas those 7 years waiting for TH were excruciating.
Theyre still my favorite band. I still check in weeklyish to see if anything is materializing. But life keeps flying by. Theres obviously even LESS urgency than before for them. Maybe we will be blessed with more material, but I fear that might be the end of it.
