What kind of moderation should Twoism.org adopt?

Dear Twoism members,

Since its beginning, Twoism has been a space where people come together through a shared love for Boards of Canada and related topics. Over the years, this forum has always embraced a wide range of conversations, sometimes sharp, sometimes philosophical, sometimes deeply personal.

But times change, and so does the internet. That’s why we'd like to hear from you: how should Twoism approach moderation in the future? There’s no right or wrong answer, this is an opportunity to reflect together on what we want this community to be, and how we interact with one another.

Please take a moment to vote in the poll. Your input will help us shape the future of Twoism in a way that reflects the values of its members.

Help we’re fighting,
Twoism crew

It's a star. gotta be.

It's a blackstar ;)
There's no way to persuade

They've come to grant the wish
you should have never made
Sing hallelujah 'cause you can't change anything

I've never listened to David Bowie.

Not a gangster. Not a filmstar. Not a white star. I'm a blackstar. :D[/quote]

Thank you for making my day. Still think there's a connection between Bowie and BOC ever since the plaque dropped

It's a pleasure!
Sidenote. I love all the references in the Blackstar titletrack.
The name of it to me is a metaphor for his death, a blackstar (he talks in the present tense). While the verses reference parts of his career (in the past tense): "I'm not a filmstar" = is he talking about 'The Man Who Fell To Earth'? "I'm not a white star" = Thin White Duke addiction, or a reference to his Northern Soul leanings on Young Americans maybe?

There's so much in the song and music video to nitpick out and analyse. I think it's a ruddy masterpiece!

Well according to the OP:

I would say the way he expressed it (though it was basically this wording) was from the angle of "whatever they do next"...

So unfortunately not necessarily in the know!

Too bad we can't hear it for ourselves. Regardless I think it's not too far fetched to expect a bright album this time, contrary to the gloomy TH.

I too vote for a bright album again, like Campfire Headphase though more electronic. Kind of like Sometimes, Sisters, and Mr. Mistake remixes, or somewhere along those lines.... hopefully.

My current most insanely optimistic speculation is this: announcement on or around Tomorrow's Harvest ten year anniversary. (Where does the time go?!?!?!) Also, around June 9th! And there will be not one, not two, but three releases! The long awaited BOCset of the first unreleased albums or at least some of them, an anthology BOCset of selected outtakes from all eras, and a brand new traditional release. Kind of like what they did with the vinyl represses and Tomorrow's Harvest way back when. Some sort of mega release for the ages..... That way they won't have to release anything for at least another 5 to 10 to 100 years, and can just really kick back for awhile, finally breathing a sigh of relief. Oh I can dream alright.

Nice to have some BOCtimism on here! I too think the new album will be a grand event. That's why it's taking so long. But soon enough it'll be here and the lads will be back in the spotlight.

Had another "BoC new release" dream last night:

A friend of mine, who doesn't know BoC, texted me a link to a new song by the bros. The audio was HBO's intro from the 80's, while the visual was a rotating monolith of some sort that was electrical and had little buttons/lights/doo-dads. I was so excited and started to cry because the sound made me so happy. It wasn't just the audio that made me excited, it was the audio and visual juxtaposed to each other that made it seem so powerful

Feel free to interpret.

Gee, it sure is boring around here.

Mah boy, this IDM is what all true warriors strive for.

I just wonder what Boards are up to?
