The best news here is that they have confirmed what we had suspected for some time. A few months ago, we discovered that the release date of Twoism on Apple Music was set for August 15, 1995. This is the only place online where such a specific date can be found. Until now. Finally. :D

So, the album art is from a movie called The Killings at Outpost Zeta. You can watch it here if you have access to Tubi. The scene appears at an hour and 27 minutes.

The video they posted today was simultaneously posted on FB and IG and is very unfortunately AI, marking their second use of AI (with the first being the Dayvan Cowboy "upscale").

It's interesting to note on their social media posts how focused the verbiage is on how the initial pressing was limited to 100 copies. This makes me wonder, from a marketing standpoint, if this is a foreshadowing of a BOCset or release of older material soon. BOC's being "nostalgic" here, but they're doing it in a way that is calculated about release information, not musical vibes.

Opinions are still divided on the AI matter. Innocent until proven guilty.

Opinions can divide all they want, infinities can be split, etc etc etc. It's AI.

Why is this unfortunate though? 2 years ago I would have felt the same way. But it's clearly something that is here to stay.

What is more interesting than the most "Analog, vintage, etc" band embracing new controversial technology.

This is a band who created sub genres, that are now heavily copied and replicated. So one begs the question how can they do something new and innovating.

Listen I'm with you if I could live in a world without certain technologies and evil corporations I would totally be with you. But I also don't want to wake up to a world I failed to keep up with. if you know what I mean.

Anyway just a thought, as I've seen a lot of resistant to AI in todays post. and I used to be a total luddite, until I decide to embrace change.

Cheers :]

For the record, I am not fully against AI. But, I am against using AI in creative-tech or art fields where the output is supposed to reflect the human experience. Anyway, for the sake of staying on topic: Happy Birthday, Twoism. I've listened to this EP a lot lately and didn't even realize its anniversary was coming up!

I felt the 30th anniversary just came and went, with the only official posts about it was a plug to go buy the record at bleep. Warp's socials didn't post anything about it which was weird. Maybe i expected too much, but i thought the anniversary was a big one for boc's history
