A few additional things we could notice mainly regarding BOC Twoism anniversary post...

Warp
- didn't post anything, no repost
- doesn't follow BOC instagram

Bleep
- posted different post (only pics, no video), no repost, no likes
- follows "Mike Sandison" twitter

BOC
- posted also on twitter
- post video is not the original one maybe due to copyright reasons

Haven't they been liking "new album" comments for a few years now?

I honestly just don't trust anything anymore. But that's my problem.

Well maybe we should be posting comments regarding release dates. If we get one right they might like it

Yeah I'm not getting gaslit into believing a new album is coming soon when I see literally no evidence. Sorry. I don't like being told what I should believe.

This has all just gotten so ridiculous. I wish anyone would step in and at least lay some foundation on what is (or isn’t) to come.

Can't help feeling MDG's message has done more harm than good. If he'd made it closer to an actual release, a lot of people wouldn't be losing their minds right now. Three years later and still nothing is not "on the way" imo.

I tried a "like this comment if something new is coming out in 202X" method a few times in their IG likes before. No likes.

The way I interpreted MDG is that BOC is working on new music all of the time. We know that. So something is perpetually "coming" even if nothing is solidified. He can say something is coming because concepts exist. It's like the plight of every unsigned, indie musician on the planet that never releases anything, but tries to maintain hype.

Big things coming soon, ya'll..and 6 weeks later it's just a new selfie of them working in Ableton or something. With the difference being that when BOC finally does release something everyone will lose their minds by default.

Unless them liking comments is a form of "blink twice if you need help" message to us, like when Epic was holding Fiona Apple's third album hostage and the fans had to step in, then I don't understand the motive for doing this charade for this long. It's tiresome now.

This. They don't owe us anything, but I wish they'd just say something at this point.

I understand... and just also add that many blaming/ironic/"violent" comments/questions (no new album, live gigs, what, when, why after those years) are mostly left unliked...

What's the psychology of it I don't know, but maybe we have no choice...

During the road to Tomorrow's Harvest he gave the first sign of a new album early January 2008.
That's 5,5 years until its release. :!:

Over the years, he had made other claims. Some said that the album would be released the following year, but he had to retract those statements. Unforeseen circumstances. Life.

This entire bumpy journey is the reason why we now have to settle for “an new album is on its way” in 2022. No more specific claims to protect himself, because no one can beat life, not even BoC or MDG.

Back in 2008 and now in 2022, I am convinced that MDG sincerely meant that an album was on the way. And even taking all the setbacks into account, we can safely say that the album is still on the way.

I do not expect anything from these guys but a lot of the back-and-forth here has become fruitless disagreements. Mind numbing. A “Hi” or a wave would settle the dust and smooth out a lot of this bs social media confusion.

Not really, I'm afraid, because people will say it's not them doing the "hi" or the wave.

But if it's a solace, they liked multiple comments this evening (after 8 pm uk time). "Office" hours.

Liking comments is such a non-imaginitive way to communicate to us. Couldnt they do it in a more mysterious way, Creative and interesting way?

I can't believe they've gone from being completely reclusive shunning modern technology to sitting on Instagram every day reading and liking comments.

Just makes zero sense

How else would you want them to communicate with us? Liking comments is the easiest way to directly communicate with each user for everyone to see. It's vague enough that there's no way they could spill the beans or give a false impression. Also, isn't the website another way they are potentially signaling to us?

There's no chance it's actually them liking the comments. On the Twoism post, there's over 100 likes at least, I can imagine the bros thinking that is a useless way to spend their time.

This is what I have been saying. It's no way it's Boards liking these comments on Instagram. It's someone from Warp. And it's lazy, or, as someone above more eloquently wrote: non-imaginative.

It screams low duty task for a summer intern in the marketing department.

Liking social media posts and exclusively "communicating" with us that way is very antithetical to a reclusive band that brought us Tomorrow's Harvest, metaphorically explored layers of the occult and conspiratorial imagery, and who thinks the internet is evil. How many studies have come out linking just how evil social media actually is? And you mean to tell me that you think they're willfully engaging with the dopamine-signaling heart reaction? No way.

At least cosecha-transmisiones.com feels like a modern day numbers station or a broken transistor radio signal shot out into the ether, even if it's not them and is standard DSP error stuff. That website has at least been interesting.

I'll believe it if they confirm that it's them, but I do not think that they would be contributing to the great Internet-As-Social-Slot-Machine Parasocial Engagement experiment. Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Got a like! Jackpot! Need to go back to see if they liked again! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Aww man, not this time. And no new album either! Better go check later... Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

It's too low-brow for them. Next you'll tell me you believe that they have a collaboration with Maroon 5.

Per Fred's point: what intern is liking specific posts that mention a new album late evening on Easter Sunday?

This intern has been taking sometimes months or years off at a time? Lol

What's your explanation of that???

The randomness and sparsity of activity lines up with a band that is disinterested in social media, but realizes it's the best way to speak to their fans.

But why the sudden need to communicate with fans after about 30 years of not doing so at all? Why the change?

The Instagram likes are so boring and low effort. Literally one click. I’m glad to see some push against it. I yearn for the days of a black square
